Hey evryone. well when i was a toddler i had longer curly thinner hair. i guess ever since i started getting my hair cut with clippers my hair has been very coarse. About 2 weeks ago i decided i wanted to grow my hair long so its about up to my shoulders and hangs off my head. but for about a year ive been getting haircuts so that the top is trimmed with scissors and the sides and back get a number 3 clipper. i got a haircut about a month ago before i realised i wanted long hair and now the sides and back seem pokey and spikey, but the top is longer. will this grow properly or will the sides and back just grow out becasuse they have been done with clippers? here are some pics me when i was young with nice hair: http://www.geocities.com/slim_shady0012/youthhair2.jpg and me today with oil in my hair and combed down, notice the sides are out: http://www.geocities.com/slim_shady0012/PICT0094.JPG
please help me and share any advice or tips you have. thank you.

A lot of people have different hair as they grow up than what they had as young children. Some people's hair changes with puberty, or middle age, or at other times in their lives, too. It's just a natural thing that happens, not much you can do about it.
More awesome than a manatee!

i dont think if it matters if you cut with scissors or clippers. you hair come beneath skin, what you do outside physcially especially cutting will not affect wheather it will grow curly or straight. if i am not mistaken your sides will grow exactly like the top. it might spike out at first but as it gets long it will go down
