QuoteReplyTopic: Help! What do I use now? Posted: August 18 2003 at 3:32pm
Okay, I saw the advice you gave the woman who had been coloring her hair, it just kept getting darker and it was auburn. You told her to use a color 2 shades lighter than she wanted in the opposite color to the auburn--which would be a green based ash.
At the time I was looking for help myself but, I just had the one color--light auburn by wella color charm. Came out way too red. Something similar to this had happened to me years ago and they had me use the ash to counteract red--then my hair turned slightly green. This time I used 1 1/2 oz of neutral medium blonde with 1/2 oz. of medium ash blonde--green base. It came out very pretty it''s a medium-light reddish brown. Now what do I use to touch it up? HELP ME! Thanks!

I don't know much about Wella color charm but it sounds like since you canceled out the red with the ash color to make it neutral. I would use the medium blonde, no ash, no red just neutral.
Good Luck!!!
