I just did the same thing and it happened to me too! I hate this, why are we so insistent to get off cheap when we need to go to the salon? This is the last time I ever dye my own hair.

My sister and I tried highlighting my hair today using the kit from Herbal Essence. She messed up, and the color got clumped near the top. My hair is medium brown, and the "clump" at the top looks blondish/orange. The rest of the highlights look fine, but I hate the top. I tried coloring my entire hair with a L''Oreal kit, but all that did was lighten my hair. The clump just won''t go away.
What do I need to get rid of these highlights? I want to darken my hair rather than leave it this lighter color, but I''m afraid that if I do, the highlights will stay and show up even more against the darker hair color. And I''ve heard some bad things about these hair color removers.
