dilemma

I get my hair done at a high end salon school. I had caramel color highlights and reddish lowlights on my dark brown hair.
Got tired of them and had her do a dark brown with a bit of red and red highlights in my t-section.
Now, two weeks later my brown color is fading fast, and I am seeing the caramel highlights coming through again. Should I call the salon? Should I just get a box haircolor and re-do it at home? I am just not happy with my hair right now.
