I really want to go blonde, and through my venturess with haircolor this summer i found out i will need to bleach it or it will be brassy. I love Jessica simpsons hair.. would Like to know what color this would be similar too. My colorist only charges about 35 dollars for a cut and color. would it cost me more if she had to bleach it . and i have brown eyes and a similar complexion to khrostvatch13's. Wondereing if i should get this done! TIA

First of all, everyone love's Jessica Simpson's colour. Her colour is achieved with various shades of highlights. She flies to New York every 6 weeks to get her highlights re-done. I think it's way too high-maintenance for us regular folks. :-)
If you want a multi-dimensional blonde, your stylist will have to use foils. This is more time-consuming (and expensive) than a regular dye job. Most salons have a "per foil" rate. You can get your stylist to give you a price quote and a consultation before you decide if you want to go in this direction. It can be quite pricey. You'll also have to pay for maintenance. The more highlights you have, the more frequently you'll need touch-ups. I have all-over highlights and I need touch-ups every 6 weeks because my roots become very noticeable.
I think the predominant colour in Jessica's hair is a pale champagne blonde. If you decide to go with one all-over blonde shade, your hair will have to be bleached and then toned. This will be less expensive than foils, but more expensive than colour alone. You will also need to get your roots touched up about every 4-6 weeks.
I hope you get the colour you want. Best of luck.
P.S. Sorry I can't give you any idea of how much these processes will cost you. It will depend on the stylist and the length of your hair. I live in Canada. Everything is more expensive here. I pay $50 for just a haircut. I did get a quote from a stylist on the cost of highlighting my hair (which is about 2 feet long). He quoted a base price of $180. That's why I decided to do it myself.
