I don't consider it goofy... I absolutely drool over redheaded guys!

I've been all shades under the sun (was baby blonde that got darker and is still getting darker as I get older so now am medium/chestnut brown naturally) and have gotten most complements and attention as blonde but think some people might think I'm a bimbo. Only problem, now I have to double process to get that light blonde. But I love red and brunette too, just don't wear it as well I guess. I think guys with red hair can be hot, even the really red - it is such a beautiful shade.

I have to say that I have been both (being a natural brunette who had blonde hair for about 9 years) and received more attention when I was blonde. However, whether blonde hair is "prettier" than brown hair is subjective, and is only in the eye of the beholder (some guys/gals prefer blondes, some prefer brunettes). However, I do feel that if you compared two identical twins, one having blond hair and one having brown hair, I think with everything else being the same, the brown hair gives an air of practicality about it.

I wonder sometimes if people purposely ask that question when they obviously know the answer just to be wiseguys :-P . I've never been asked if mine was real when I put unnatural reds on it, but when I was growing out black and had like two inches of roots, I was asked all the time :-P .

Now that I'm medium auburn I never get that question, but people do sometimes stop me on the street to compliment my hair color.
More awesome than a manatee!

I think some people are just really so dense that it takes something bizarre to reach them, and even then it only makes them wonder a little bit, where they should be questioning reality altogther.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

It is interesting that u broguht this up, Amymusic, because on behnidthechair.com in the hair color news section according to the ABCH, the hottest hair color for '05 is brunette. So brunettes are in. lol. That is the most popular color in salons nationwide at the mo! They said the no. 1 is brunette, 2nd was red (woohoo for me), and 3rd was blonde...tho blonde has declined popularity for the first time in years its still pretty popular. Hehe. Just so u know, i'm naturally dark brunette but i guess i "stand out" with auburn red hair! hehe, and it def. makes me feel more confident and exciting than having blonde or dark hair! :)

Yeah, a lot of girls seem to be dying their hair brunette lately! There are a ton of girls at my high school that have had dyed blonde hair for a long time and now they've all of a sudden gone dark. It's crazy, but it makes me happy to know they're going back to their natural hair colour. I'm starting to think that everyone who dyes their hair will eventually realise that their natural colour wasn't actually that bad... :) Playing around with your hair color is fun, but unfortunately addictive too...

Well if you think about it, your natural haircolor is suppose to be the best suited color for your skin tone. I mean its kind of like you got your own color consultation with nature, because that color was created personally just for you. So in the end, natural is the best way to go.

So Paris Hilton or Pam Anderson are farthest from their best suited look. Lord knows what that look is, since their natural haircolors remain unknown to anyone in this galaxy.

wow. i wonder what brand colored contacts she uses. usually colored contacts don't show up so well on dark eyes. she must use a rare brand.

she looks like a hippy in that picture.

AFAIK, she uses the Coopervision Expressions in blue. They do look pretty darn realistic in pics and on TV, but I've read where people have run into her in a coffeshop or restaurant and gotten close and could tell they were fake. It is a really good lens compared to the other stuff out there. I've got the aqua and the hazel and I like them tons better than the Freshlook or Acuvue colored lenses. I never tried the blue though, didn't think they'd work since my eyes are green, but since I read that she wears the same lens and it does look so convincing, it makes me wanna try them out!

well, for me personally, and I have been both, i may have gotten more glances as a blonde, but have been hit on more as a brunette. I don't know, it may be true that the majority of guys eyes are drawn to a light shade, but if it isn't working for you, it won't matter. I look better with dark hair, recieve more compliments with dark hair and i myself prefer it. the bottom line is, some things you can't force. I could try and try and still end up a mediocre blonde, or be true to myself, and SHINE as a brunette!you gotta be whats right for you.

I don't necessarily think blonde is better or prettier than brunette. I mean, look at Pam Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith's haircolor. I think it's way too light and fake looking, and it, along with some poor clothing and makeup choices, makes them look tacky. That's just my opinion and I'm not trying to be mean, but there's a difference between pretty blonde and yucky blonde. Kristen Bell (from "Veronica Mars" and "Spartan"), Jessica Simpson, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Diane Sawyer, Shakira, and Joss Stone are all examples of pretty blonde hued hair. Pam Anderson, Anna Nicole, Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie (in two movies) Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, their hair isn't necessarily bad, but it's so obviously dyed that it isn't that attractive in my opinion. I think a good blonde hair color is either natural, natural but enhanced, or completely fake but natural looking. There should be depth, dimension, and above all the hair color should complement the persons skin tone and look healthy. Fried blonde isn't pretty, unless you like that cotton candy hair.

I guess part of me wishes I had blonde hair, but I had really beautiful light golden blonde as a child that darkened into a dirty blonde, and eventually into a cool brown. I always figured that it was a compromise considering my dad's blonde and my mom has naturally dark brown hair. I got a little of both worlds. But, I do love my brown hair. It's healthy looking and shiny and I think the color is very classy looking. Brunette shades can be incredibly versatile and look good (at least some shade on the huge scale of brunette colors) on anyone. Brown hair goes with most any color outfit and I feel that I have more choices for what to wear than when I had my hair so highlighted for a while that I practically was blonde. Plus, blonde can surprisingly wash people's faces out, just like too dark a color can.

I don't have stereotypes of blondes or brunettes, but I guess I have to say I prefer brunettes because I just feel like it's a classier more subdued color category than blonde. Blonde is more striking (I think) because it's less common than the dominant brown (usually when there's the genes for brown hair, they'll win out over blonde or red, not always, but frequently). Also, I think that blondes can make people more attractive or at least they appear so from a distance. I don't know how many guys went out with girls who weren't particularly pretty just because they were blonde. I don't know if anyone else has ever experienced this, but many of my guy friends in college pursued the blonde girl just because she was blonde and they were drawn to that, as opposed to going after the redhead or brunette with the better looking face. Just look at Britney Spears. She's cute, but you can tell that her looks are greatly enhanced by the blonde hair because when she went back to brown for her wedding she looked more everyday average than glam girl. I think everyone's tastes are different and that if you're drawn to one color over another it has to do with what you've been exposed to. I mean, if your mom was blonde and your sisters were blonde, and all your family was blonde, you might go after and be drawn to blondes when you date. If you grew up around attractive brunette role models or family members, you might be drawn to brunettes when looking for someone to date. Or, if you had bad experiences with people of one predominant hair color, you may be attracted to people with the opposite color. Or, you just prefer one color to another for no good reason. I don't know if I like guys with brown hair because most of the people in my family and my friends have brown hair or if I just like it, but for some reason I'm drawn to brown hair. I think a lot of people like to think blonde is prettier or better, but I don't think one color is better than the other, it totally depends on the person. Angelina Jolie is gorgeous with dark hair and Sarah Michelle Gellar is stunning with blonde hair. Colin Farrell is hot as a brunette while Ryan Phillippe rocks the blonde. It's just individual. Could you imagine a blonde Keanu Reeves or a raven haired Jessica Simpson. Maybe they could pull it off, but why mess with a good thing?

I actually think Jessica Simpson would look good with dark hair. Her eyes are brown afterall, and she is not a natural blonde. I think we are just so used to seeing her blonde that we can't picture her dark.
