Sorry I guess I was not very clear .... I'd keep in the links you have now but when it's time to replace them or add more you might try to see if she can use a little less hair per ring which will probably be a bit nicer weight on your fine/thin hair. You might try fusion as well because a stylist may also create different sizes of extensions also. I've just started using the links though and I have to say I love them! Taking them out is so much easier on a clients hair than fusion ones!
Hey Rory, As to your question about fine hair you might find someone who will do smaller bonds for you It may cost you more because you'll have to put more in but that's usually what I recommend to my clients with thin/fine hair.
Hey Amm, I'm going to e-mail you.... I'm in New Zealand right now so I've been a bit delayed on my response
Hi Kristin, did you get the envelope with the shrinkies I sent? :)
I have used both Dr Locks microrings and also the ones sold by hairpiece.com
Some of the Dr Locks rings colored paint chipped off just with regular washings and I was left with silver clamps.
The small size ones from Hair Piece flatten thinner and are slightly less bulky.
Depends on who you talk to but there's damage reported from the rings. The maintenence is easier because it's simply opening the ring, sliding the hair back up and reclamping. You can use the same ring several times or until it becomes too misshapen.
For the last 9 months I've had only Hairlocs shells, microrings and shrinkies. There's good points and bad points to all of them.
yes, i have a whole head full of microrings. I paid a lot of $$$ and they slip out slowly. They will not last the 6 mos i was told they would. last time i had shorter xtensions in for 2 weeks and i lost about 5 strands (each on its opwn ring) per day. Do you have any suggestions as to what method would be better for my fine fine hair?
