My hair must grow really fast b/c I can tell it''s time to either have my extensions redone or just taken out.

OMG!! I''m soooo scared! I love wearing them, but I''m so afraid of having them removed. Not afraid of going back to my old style, but of only having half of my hair.

I''m not totally trusting my stylist to be ultra gentle so would it be better to take them out myself?

I''ve been wearing fusion (not GL) for nearly 2 months...I''ve had a few bonds come out but I''ve not noticed any of them with my own hair in them. Isn''t that a pretty good sign that I won''t be bald?? I''ve tried to take really good care of them.

I guess I''m really looking for reassurance. I only got these b/c I had a little extra money and thought, "Why not?" But I can''t afford to forever be wearing them.

Thanks.

If you haven't noticed any hair in the ones that have come out you're probably going to have good results after taking them all out.

Everyone is different when it comes to being able to take them out yourself.... It takes patience.... Most people use a drop or two of acetone (nail polish remover) on each bond and then crunch it between a pair of pliers.... It usually comes right off.

I hope that helps

My friend had GL and had no problems with removal. She lost a little bit of diameter in her ponytail but not bad at all. Hardly noticeable, really.

She used lots of conditioners and hot oil treatments a week before she planned removal and then did what Kristin said. She saturated each bond and it crunched and broke away. After all the extensions were out, she had a Penetraitt treatment from Sebastian then had fusion bonds put right back in again. She loves them.
