Some more bad hair I got was the French Refined from Glamour Hair. It's a spiral mess that sticks out all frizzy. Feels like straw, too.
Some of the best was from Glamour Hair. Their Silky Straight is going on 6 months of wear and is still shiny and tangle free. I bet I'll be able to use this for a year or more. I'm not a big fan of stick straight hair, though. I like it big and wavy. Wavy allows me to razor and trim myself and I don't have to have a perfect cut.
Ready for this? Another good batch of hair was my original Hairlocs hair. I'm still using it going on 9 months. I got lucky because I know there's some horror stories out there with Hairlocs hair. The stuff I got has a nice soft "S" wave that holds a great curl whether it be spiral or barrel. I have it in three various shades of blonde.
I purchased 22" Cinderella Hair bodywave through afrocare.com and it's very good, too. I only have two strands in right now to test it and I HATE those big ol' honkin glue bonds. I may snip the ends off, tip it myself and use it for shrinkie application.
The worst hair I ever got was Italian Minx by hairaddition.com. It was really thin and fine and couldn't stand up to any styling at all. After about 1 1/2 months, the hair was completely fried.
I also wasn't crazy about the wavy hair I got from hairlocs. It was more "kink" than wave, if you know what I mean, and it was kind of frizzy, too, with a fair about of tangling (the green tips weren't the greatest either). GLs and Cinderella hair were pretty good, but not the best, imo.
The best hair I ever used, by far, was hisandher cuticle hair in silky straight. It was beautiful, dried superquickly, and stayed strong and shiny for months. And it really never tangled, even though I wore it superlong--like 28 inches. Unfortunately, it's pretty expensive, and they don't carry it in my color (I had it in black, but my hair's blonde now).
I have no idea what's in my hair at the moment (my stylist bought it), but it's working out well and the color match is the best I've had. There's some tangling, but nothing too bad, and it was $120 for my whole head! (A bargain compared to the $1,000 plus I've paid for certain brands.)
That sucks that the hair isn't working out for you. I hope you can get a refund. What's the best hair you've used, AMM?
Since I bought some more shrinkies, I dropped the "Premium Plus Loose Wave" in the basket too. I've been looking for a good wave.
IT'S TOTAL GARBAGE!
Less than one week of wear and it turns backwards on itself when it's combed. No detangler in the world can fix this caca.
It is without a doubt the worst hair ever. It's made by Sensationnel.
This is the first hair I've ever purchased that I'm going to put in an envelope and mail back. I don't even care if they refund me. I can't stand to even have it in the house.
