I would recommend doing so because it needs to support the weight of the extension hair

Thanks ever so much for the advice. Obviously if you're using thicker strands you need to weigh that up with selecting more of the client's hair to go with it so that there is no tension, am I right xxx

Well I make them myself...

Here's a picture of some pretipped strands:

I'd say mine are a little thicker than those....

Check out this picture of Amm's.... That's more what mine look like:

Sure, I don't mind if you show some of my pictures .

Usually an average head is about 200-250 strands... It really just depends on what I have to start working with. Girls with hair shorter than their shoulders usually need more hair so I charge them a little more. Also girls with thick hair need more to blend it in so I need a little more hair there too.

WOW WOW WOW WOW Kristen girl your website is absolutely fantastic, those girls must been so super pleased, such transformations, can I ask you a question, how many pre-tipped strands do you usually use to get those looks cos they look pretty thick, I'm going to show my clients some of your pictures if that's ok to give them some ideas cos they tend to be pretty boring, and then I can order some of the funky colours off you xxx

The wire just helps you attach the link to the hair. Starting from where you are in step 5, slide down the bead so it's completely off the wire and on to the hair. by continuing to pull on the wire (while keeping the bead near the scalp) will thread the hair through the bead...

I guess it's kinda hard to explain but hopefully this helps. The entire concept is to get the link on the hair....

hey :-) im slowly getting this lol , i now understand teh whole concept but i dont really get step 6 as shown in your diagram on how to apply individual extensions. Is it the hair itself that goes through the little thing on the thread and then the thread just gets off it? hope you can help me some more . thanks a bunch
