Ok Im definetely going with curly hair. Its called Romance Curl actually and here is what it looks like:

http://www.ebonyline.com/rocusybrha.html

Im going with a #30 or 33

I have stick straight hair except at the very bottom where it tends to flip up.

Has anyone had any experience putting curly extensions on straight hair and how did it work out?

Also I want to try Kalikas method of cutting half of the extension to layer it. How would that look with curly hair or should I leave it all one length???

Thanks ladies, just trying to get it all straight before I place my order next week.

SHE human hair blend, 18", #4 with Supertape.

Curly extensions can always be blended in straight hair with little to no problems. If you have curly or wavy hair and add straight extensions, it can look really bad.

Here's an example: http://www.boogiemama.com/album/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=4

The blonde hair is wavy and those pink strands are straight. It just does not look good. This is a good photo to use to tell the difference since you can easily determine the two hair textures.

Ok cool, the only extensions Ive tried so far have always been silky straight and my hair tends to poke out so thats why Im going with curly hair, that and the fact that I looooove curly hair lol

I dont get but 120-130 extensions in so do you think layering each extension with Kalikas method would make it look fuller?? or no?

If the hair's wavy (which it appears to be), layering it should certainly help. :)

Those aren't straight strands in her hair, they are manufactured dreads. It is what she requested and I'm all about doing what the people want.

Yeah, must be hard as a stylist when you're doing such gorgeous installs and then they want to stick something like that in there. It's still a good example of how a strand (whether it's human or dread) can stick out like a sore thumb when it's going against a wavy texture.

Your installs look consistently amazing. What's your long term thoughts on ProHair?

Emma,

I think the layering is a great idea for wavy texture. The technique that was used with the Plastikhaar is a great example of how well it can work. Razoring or layering before putting the hair in ensures you're not thinning your own hair along with the applied strand.

I think not layering a wavy texture, one runs the risk of ending up with he Cousin It effect.

BoogieMama,

Welcome to the boards! I've been admiring your work for a long time, and we've been linking to your gallery for examples of beautiful hair for months. In fact, it was your photos that convinced me to try synth.

Again, welcome, and please stick around!

:)

Quote hat's your long term thoughts on ProHair?

I don't know if I understand the question?
You mean if I will order long term, or when a client has extensions done for a long period of time?

Jenny_RR, thanks. I'm sure I'll poke in here and there.
You're doing a grreat job of providing info, keep it up.
