Ah, trends. How they fun they are as nothing fascinates me more than fashion lemmings doing the "style of the moment" whether it looks good on them or not. Not that it might not look great, mind you, just funny how suddenly everyone seems to get the same idea simultaneously. =)

For a long while, it was straight, center-parted long hair or some version of a shag and now it`s bangs. On the Bangwagon so far (with varying degrees of success)...

- Early adopters: Lisa Kudrow, Leslie Boone ("Ed")

- Joiners: Ming-Na, Maura Tierney, Alyssa "I cut my own bangs in the dark with a Cuisinart set on Frappe" Milano, Kim Delany, Lara Flynn Boyle

- Recent converts: Sandra Bullock, Kelly Preston

So, other than the obvious choices (e.g., Helen Hunt, LeeLee Sobieski, and Jennifer Lopez), who should hop on board? And who should show some backbone and avoid leaping off the cliff into the shears with everyone else?

I noticed Lara Flynn Boyle too. She did NOT need bangs. She looks a little wierd with them, maybe it is because she went for so long without them, but I really don`t like them on her. At least the way they are styled now.
Sandra & Kelly look great with bangs.

Now, for JF`s question...
I think Roma Downey needs to get bangs again.
Jennifer Lopez (not gonna type that J-Lo thing) would look good with bangs if they were styled right. Not like that ridiculous picture posted here a while back.(they were fake).

First, I edited my post to change J-Lo to Jennifer Lopez. I hate J-Lo too, I was just too lazy to type her name out. =) And she looked better last year when she actually cut some long rounded bangs before immediately growing them back out.

And personally, I love Lara Flynn Boyle`s hair right now. Her bangs may be a bit too long (they are covering up her great eyebrows), but otherwise, in combination with the below shoulder length, her hair looks terrific.

And ditto on Roma Downey.

Actually, she wouldn`t. Check out one of my old columns (can`t remember if it`s the last one or the one before that) to see a picture of her with bangs.

Not good.
