Sadly, the woman with the second best hair in women`s professional tennis has fallen out of the top 10 hairstyles. (Yes, Anna Kournikova is the undisputed No. 1.) Mary Pierce appears to have hacked her gorgeous blonde mane into a shoulder-length creation: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/020507/168/1i305.html

Looks good on her. Actually it looks to me like it`s more jaw length then shoulder length, but she is leaning her head forward, so it is hard to tell. Her hair still looks great to me, in fact it looks even better. What made her fall out of your top 10? Simply because she cut it? Wouldn`t that make your list the longest hair, rather then the best hair? Despite what you may think they are not the same thing. Maybe Anna will soon follow suit, & join her.
It was shoulder length a couple months back and is now even shorter. Maybe she didn`t like the layers. My girlfriend at the time got the `Friends` cut when it was popular and immediatly hated the layers and had them cut. She went from mid-back to jaw length in two weeks. Her logic was short hair is better than layers.

Just because I disagree with what you like doesn`t mean we can`t co-exist. Her hair -- at least in the photos on Yahoo that I saw -- looked like crap, in my humble opinion and, as such, dropped out her from a number of my lists, including "best hair" and "sexiest female athletes." I always thought Mary Pierce`s best feature was her long blonde hair. If you disagree with me, fine, but don`t go on the assault every time I find a woman with long hair attractive. I might add, however, that right now, you are on my "Ten biggest bullies on HairBoutique.com" list. Congratulations. If you or anyone else want to see some before pix of Mary and judge for yourself, I recommend http://pierce.all-pics.com and, specifically, http://pierce.all-pics.com.Mary%20Pierce%20-%20176.jpg.
I agree Mary looked better with long hair (I don`t have a short or long hair bias), and Ana won`t be cutting hers anytime soon. That would hurt her endorsements big time. She is known for the hair, face, body...and not the tennis.
Hey Gord, I`m not looking for any fights & I actually agree with you to a certain extent. There is no reason why we shouldn`t co-exist. Differing opinions is what makes the world go round, & if we all agreed on everything, life would get pretty boring. I wasn`t accussing you of anything, & I `m sorry if you felt that way. Perhaps I expressed myself poorly. I was just curious, because you didn`t give any reasons for why, she was suddenly off your list, other then the haircut, so perhaps I jumped to an improper conclusion. I`m sorry. After reading your second message, I see your viewpoint & can understand it. I may not agree with it but I can accept it. Also, to my knowledge I don`t believe I have ever done any attacking on this board. I try hard to stay away from it whenever possible. If you feel that I said things that are either attacking, or confrontational, I ask that you please let me know, so I can best try to stop. I try to make mostly positive comments & stick to talking about hair, as this board should suggest, but hey nobody`s perfect all the time, & I hope we can clear up any misunderstanding that we may have had, & learn to live in peace. I enjoy reading most of the messages on here & never look to start any trouble. So again I`m sorry, & hopefully, we can all get along.

We have had this chat before.... You make it sound like a celebrity is breaking some sort of unwritten moral code when she cut`s her hair. Then when people react to the tone of your response, you get ******ed!
Now we all do it, overreact that is, maybe if you stated your opinions like opinions, this wouldn`t be necessary.
As for Mary, the short hair is very interesting, don`t think it should be her new full-time look, but a nice change!
I`m going to wait until I see a picture of her with her hair down before I get off the fence on this one. I can say blonder is better for her... and so far longer and bangier sure helped hide that stump in the center of her face... maybe she should be a bit more truthful and she could wear her hair any way she wants.

She`s a man, baby! Doesn`t matter whether her hair is long or short, she is just too masculine. Again, this is MY opinion so no need to flame the living s..t out of me.

Q. What inspired you to cut your hair? MARY PIERCE: Inspired? You know, in November I just went to get my hair trimmed, you know, and it was really down there, and on the way over for some reason I just thought, I don`t know, I`ve just always wanted to have short hair. And I just went and I just thought about it. I was like, oh. Remember when Jennifer Anniston had really long hair and then she cut it really short? I thought maybe I`ll just get a new haircut, cut it all off. New year, something different.
Q. Take a while to get used to or? MARY PIERCE: Well, yeah. I mean the first couple of days it just felt kind of funny. You know, I`m so used to like that, and there`s no hair there. So it was kind of funny, but I love it. It`s so much lighter.
So there you go. Doesn`t surprise me because Mary actually wanted to cut her hair years ago, but her hyper-controlling father wouldn`t allow it.
Later, JF
3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.
