I just used some Stargazer Plum dye in the hope of having nice reddish purple locks - but it turned them almost black! My natural colour is black which was lightened and dyed to a red colour which faded to a reddish brown.

It's now very dark! I actually like the colour but I intend to bleach my hair when it grows out and I might never get to now since it's too dark!
It was only meant to be temp/semi-permanent dye, but it's quite a bit dark so I'm not sure it'll come out on it's own!

Also the colour won't suit my wavy/curly hair(it curls when it dries) it doesn't look good dark at all I think but I'm hoping when my hair is totally dry it'll be lighter.

I'm not going to be buying this dye again, I don't understand how Purple can make my hair so dark!
I've seen other people use it fine.

Give it a week or two, and it'll probably fade a lot, especially if it's not permanent. I know I never judge the results of a dye job on the way it looks the first day, knowing that.
More awesome than a manatee!

Use an anti-dandruff shampoo, such as Head & Shoulders, to help strip the color a bit. And, yeah, it will start fading soon from normal wear and tear like washing, brushing, the weather...
