Long Hair Perm

Hello Everyone,

I have a friend that is 23 years old. Her hair is black, long, and very fine. It is about 6 inches from her bottom. Anyway, she was talking about getting a perm and maybe cutting it a little. I am assuming somewhere around mid-back. She also has bangs. I thought that a really tight curly perm would look awesome. Kind of like Shania Twains hair in her last concert on TV. Is there a certain perm that looks better on girls with finer hair? Does she need to worry about anything? I couldn`t find any good pictures either. Can anyone send me URLs of good pictures that have what I am thinking about or at least what you think would be good? I know you don`t know what she looks like, but maybe you could offer up some suggestions. I appreaciate it.

I had a spiral done a few times and had no real problems. The only disapointment that I can forsee is when someone hair gets longer it tends to pull down the curls and doesn`t last very long.
The first time I had it done it was about the middle of my back and it lasted almost a year. The second time my hair was close to my waist and it only last four months. My hair is thick, corse and heavy in weight.
