Tyler, first off, being a female, I think you should love that curly thick hair. I am sure it is beautiful! For the dry-hard problem, are you using conditioner? If its short its going to stick up- unless you goop it down with lots of stuff. I think you should let it be natural and big. How many other guys have hair like you?

Unfortunately, men do not have as many choices as women. If you do not want a short look(which is what I prescribe) you can try a chemical straightner at a salon. Unfortunately no hair product out there will soften extremely course wiry hair. I suggest you keep with a close cut by clippers and a #2 gaurd on the sides and finger length on the top.

Tyler, I recommend keeping it very very short. Myself and me brother have very thick and curly hair and his is managable when short. If you choose to leave some length and there fore curl, i recommend olive oil. I know it sounds strange but pour some in your hands rub them together and then scrunch through your hair. It makes the curls soft, managable and easier to deal with.

First if its hard to comb heres a trick, in the shower, after putting some conditioner take ur hair brush and comb them, its much easyer that way. and i know some good hair stuff, alberto is good, the one for curly hair of coarse and so is got to be, the green spray

I hope i helped

Lots of guys have your hair type and are very poplular. Think Ryan Phillipe, Brittney`s boyfriend, even Tom Hanks, Emeril and tons more. Let it be curly -- just have the attitude to pull it off and it will work.

it seems we have similar hair, i don`t know however if my hair is thick or normal i would say is more normal, I am a male and my hair is wavy-curly and i`ve discovered that the longer you let it grow, the coolest, since the problem with curls are the ends of the hair which stick out like fur. a hair end is about .7 inch long so if you have short hair, your hair will show mostly the messy ends.

right now my hair is about 3 inches long and i want to let it grow neck lenght. i`ve fixed so many problems that i had when my hair was short, the only problem now is the dryness, my hair is very dry too, so i dont know what to do to humectate it right, does the olive oil actually work?, what do you ppl suggest?
