Hi,

I just found this message board today. I have terrible curly hair and whats ever worse is its damaged and i dont know how to repair it. I used to have thick beautiful curls but a few years ago i went through a phase where i bleached my hair. I have naturally dark hair and i bleached it, dyed it back and then bleached it again repeating the process about 12 times destroying my hair turning it into straw... after that about a year later i went camping for a week and could not comb my hair at that time and whatever hair i had left turned into one HUGE knot... it took me another week with conditioner and olive oil and 3 bottles of detangler to free up my hair and a lot broke off, fell out and i cut clumps of it out too. My hair was quite long before i started.. now the curls are much tighter and only slightly below my shoulders. i am scared all my hair is gonna fall out or break off but i am not sure how to take care of it. My hair is always frizzy.. i considered thiss stuff called bio ionic, but its $500+ to get done and i am not sure i totally want to lose my curls forever.. i just wanna have nice big healthy curls. Does anyone know how to make my hair healthier and start growing again and thicker?
Its all split and damaged and destroyed and nothing i try seems to make it any better.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

leh

hi lea. first off, i suggest you get a trim. make it a blunt cut, no layers. secondly, to repair it, try ARTec`s moisture pac, Redkens Extreme treatment, redkens CAT treament (this ones the most repairing) or if u`d rather go to a sallys beauty supply, the generic version of joicos k pac, to give it the nutrients it needs after all that havoc!! i think you should use one of these once a week for about a month. after that month deep condition once or twice a month just as a general good pratice. aussie 3 minute miracle is good for that. please let me know if this works out for you.
love, penny
