I am really interested in coverting my relaxed hair into a texturizer by putting it on the new growth. For some reason, my ends can get curly, but not all of my hair. It can just hold a faint wave. I want to be able to grow into a new texture, where I can wear all of my hair curly and wavy. Could anyone tell me of any good brand of texturizers and their experiences with it??? Can hair be worn straight with a texturizer, and can it be worn in wet sets too?? Are texturizers good for just short hair only, or does it work well with medium and long hair lengths also?
Sorry you guys. I know that most of you all have naturally curly hair, but no one can help in me in the other boards.
It`s a chemical some African-Americans use in their hair that is similar to a relaxer, but I hear that it is not as strong, and it just loosens the natural coil, but not straighteneing it completely. It supposedly leaves the hair wavy and curly, but not straight.
I can`t find anything about them on the internet!!!
I think what they are called are retexturizers. (correct me if im wrong). From what i know about them, they are efficiant--its an easy way to relax some of the natural curl out of very unruley curly hair with out completly removing it. I think its done with perm rods.
