I`ve recently started thinking about cutting my hair, which is shoulder length with a spiral perm, because i`m sick of the weight and want a change. however, i don`t know what style to get. my face is basically oval. i want to cut it short. does anyone have any suggestions of different cuts?

Dear Martha,
My wife wears her hair ultra-short, and she looks beautiful! There are so many attractive short styles! A good beautician should be able to suggest some attractive short styles you can choose from! I`m glad you are going to a short style, so many women look good in these styles!

Ok...how long have you had your perm? How much new growth (unpermed hair) do you have? How short are you willing to go?

Hi! If its still pretty curly, then you`d probably want something with some texturizing- shorter peices on top, but not even like layers. You need a good stylist for this- it might cost a little more, but it`ll be worth it. I`ve always had curly hair and have had plenty of really bad haircuts! Make sure its someone you can talk to beforehand & is willing to listen to what you want. If the perm is wearing out, I guess it depends on if you want to perm it again once you cut it. Oh, yeah, try looking at the galleries on this site. They have a lot of different styles for every length, and even by face shape and type of style (trendy, casual, etc.). I recently got a major haircut and the gallery here helped me a lot in figuring out what I wanted.
