Errrr I`ll try to explain it, if you play a bit you see how it works.....and it`s rather cool, too
Gather your hair up in a ponytail...take it in one hand so that your hand is pointing towards the floor and make a loop of hair so that the ends of your ponytail is now on top of your head...clamp your hand around the loop and pull a scrunchie over it once...tight enough to hold it....Then bend the rest of your pony tail back over the loop you just made and pull the scrunchie over it again....continue until you either have as much or as little hair left over as you want....then arrange the ends (if any) with butterfly clips or bobby pins.
sure. What I usually do is braid upwards when I get past my collar--I just point the ponytail into the air and keep braiding. If you have very long hair you can braid upwards for a while, then clip the braid to your head and braid downwards to the collar and repeat the cycle until you`re all braided.
Hi, I was wondering if you could give me some advice for some hair styles for prom. I have hair a little longer than my shoulders thats naturally curly, I just don`t know what to do with it this year. I`ve been leading towards some type of up-do but i`m not quite sure, do you have any ideas what will be cute? can you please email me at hilfiger_doc@hotmail.com Thank you!!
Hey, I was just jumping in to say that if you ever have any questions about hair--how to do a style you've seen, advice on day-to-day 'dos, whatever--you can always ask me. I cruise the hairtalk section looking for people asking questions and I adore giving advice. I design hairstyles, so you'll get an original look, and I've been researching hair stuff for AGES so I know lots. Just e-mail me or IM me or reply to this post and I'll be glad to help.

oh oh oh!! *lol* thanx i get it now :) too bad my hair`s not long enough....yet *lol* but i`m waiting..i`m waiting....
and i have another question: is that a nice looking style that you can wear and won`t fall off easily and puts hair back from your face?? i have hair a little pass the shoulders and it`s straight. [but it gets frizzed up after washing my hair :(]

Before my hair got too long I would pull it into a low ponytail at my neck, twist it a few times and aim it up towards the top of my head, tuck the roll inside the little flap a little bit (you`ll see what I mean, when you point the ends up and you have your hand around the part you twisted you can feel a little pocket, roll the twisted part of your hair into the pocket just a little bit) and then secure with a big barrette....you can leave as much hair out as you want...then just take the ends and arrange them as you like....

Hmmmm, I used to take my hair, part it down the center.....then take each side and french braid it to the back of my head, then put the ends in a pig tail...it was always good to keep it out of my face and day old hair works well with it
hi, i have long, brown, curly hair, and i just wanted to know if you had any cute updo ideas? please be as detailed as possible. also if you respond please email me instead of putting your reply here.
thanks a bunch!!! katie my email: xxbayb125xx@yahoo.com
mindy p--Here are a few things to try. For a look combining trendy with elegant (it was originally worn in spain) try: 1. Part hair down the center 2. Clip one side out of the way, then with the other one gather your hair in a low ponytail, twist it around itself and leave the ends loose. Pin it down with some long bobby pins. 3. Repeat on the other side. You should have two low messy buns at the back of your head
For an everyday trendy look: 1. Gather hair at the nape of the neck 2. Twist hair upwards, pinning down the twist as you go 3. Keep twisting to about the crown of your head, then stop and leave the ends loose. You might want to gel them for a spiky, piecy look. Or you could tease them and fan them for a softer, messy look.
Going somewhere special? 1. Divide hair down the center 2. Clip the section out of the way, then gather the right section at the nape 3. Twist upwards and clockwise, pinning the ends as you go 4. Repeat with the left section, but twist counterclockwise. 5. Here is where you can dress it up or down. For a more everyday look, leave the pieces loose and spike or tease them. For a prom or date or whatever, curl the ends and pin them around the top.
I have shoulder length dark blonde hair, very fine and straight. I want to get my hair in a wave like they wore back in the 20`s and 30`s, but my hair doesn`t like to be put up, and I don`t know the technique, anyway. Do people still know how to do this nearly-dead style?
HELP!!!! I'm in desperate need of a NEW hairstyle!!! I have VERY TIGHT RINGLET curls and it's in the middle of my back whenever it's brushed out straight. I have VERY thick hair and it IS FRIZZY!!! I would like an everyday hair do AND one for homecoming pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze!!! No buns please. Although if someone could teach me that messy bun that all the "cool" people do I wouldn't mind that. I don't want anything to complicated for school (15-20 min.....MAXIMUM) but it doesn't matter for the dance...I'll try almost anything. As long as I can show off the curls that all the other gurls in my school DON'T have. THANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALSO: I like things that are different but not TOO "over-the-top-wild"
My sister and I both have blond naturally curly hair! I am the one to fix everyone elses hair too!! I am a hairdresser myself and totally understand your problem. layers are the best for us! skinny or thick faced, layered curls are the best! work with your curls and don`t be afraid to cut them. I unlike my sister can straighten my hair, she can`t and i am stuck with her hair for her wedding. I am going to do this: first: wash and diffuse it then: make a ring all the way around your head leaving 1 inch of hair around the perimeter of the face. loosely gather up hair in a twist and pin. then, curl (ALL) loose ends. with a bobby pin that matches your dress, pin everywhere near the gathering! i have done this with so many girls! it really does look great and it is a different look! as for school everyday look! cut the lock to just below the shoulder! it is a bouncy new school look of course in layers!!! have fun!!!!

if you mean the marcel wave, there`s an article on it here at hairboutique.com. just search for "marcel wave" and you should find it. If not, search the web--I`ve found sites on it before, but I don`t remember the adresses. Good luck!
I am after a look I can give to my hairstylist, I want chunky highlights of copper and amybe blonde but I am trying to find a picture online to give to her. I have searched everything. I have looked in magazines but no luck. I am wondering if they are still fashionable aswell as there is no pictures. Want I want is simular to the style that Jennifer Aniston has. Maybe you can help! Thanks

I was wondering how to do hair style #3839. I have long, straight hair, all the way down my back. I am looking for some cute hairstyles, and this one looked really cute. Also, how can I get my hair to curl like that? Thanks!

You have good taste! The first time I saw that picture i absolutely fell in love with it. It`s gorgeous. Anyway, I have tried (with some success) to achieve that look on several people. You might want to have a friend do this with you--the back is really hard to do by yourself. Here are the steps I followed: 1. First, pull out two strands of hair in the front (the girl in the picture has long bang things). 2. I like to start sectioning in the front by making a part all the way down the center and clipping one whole side of hair out of the way. Then, starting at the center part, make a tiny section (hers look like they`re half and inch or so wide) from your hairline to the crown of your head. Hold this section at a 45 degree angle to your head and twist it towards your center part. When you like how it looks, keep it down with a bobby pin or butterfly clip. 3. Continue making small sections, twisting, and clipping, all the way around your head. Then unclip the other side of your head and do the same thing, starting at the center part and moving around. This may take a while, but it`s worth the effort. 4. Now unclip all your twisties, but be sure you hold them so they don`t unravel (have your friend help if you need to). 5. Pull all the ends together in a ponytail and hold with an elastic band either clear or the same color as your hair. 6. Curl the ends by running a light gel (Aveda makes a good one) through them and curling with a medium-barelled curling iron in 1-inch sections. 7. Pin them around the crown of your head until you like the effect. Spritz with hairspray (Aveda`s Firmata is great). Voila! Hard work, but it`s a great style and will hold through hours of dancing (when I did this, I was even able to sleep on it. In the morning when i took out the pins, it stayed right where it was. I think I used too much hairspray. Oh well, whatever works, right?)
