hi! I am 16yrs old and have alwayshad very short, damaged hair in feb. 2002 my life changed forever! I had ordered Cathy's book and it has not only informed but worked! I have not had my hair cut in 5 MONTHS follow Cathy's book to a tee and I went to the hairdresser last month and was told my hair was "very strong and healthy" mind you that this is the same hairdresser I had been going to b4 I came across Cathy's book AND she (the hairdresser) is my first cousin she was in awe! IT IS NOT NESSECARY TO TRIM YOUR HAIR!!!!! Trimming is merely done for appearances, I think. My hair has grown two 1/2 inches in 5 months. (Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch a month)! And I am very satisfied! Also I use Cathy's Conditioner. It is excellent! I wash my hair generally every three days, and deep condition every time I wash. I use Allways Instant Oil Moisturizer but am about to change because it makes my hair feel funny, like squeaky and I wonder if it is really moisturizing cuz if it had enough oil in it it would feel "just-washed" clean. Any sugg. on a GOOD moisturing but not excessively greasy or heavy moisturizers? I reccomend Cathys book 110%!
A good and light moisturizer is Breakthru by Optimum Care. Regular use of it prevents breakage and may help hair to grow.
I bought the product a long time ago, but neglected to use it. Then someone actually recommended it to me and I started using it religiously.
My hair doesn`t break off nearly as much and it`s very shiny and soft but not excessively greasy. A good tip is to put it on while your hair is still wet (not soaking wet). It will help your hair really soak it up
Hi ladies. I viewed Cathy Howse`s website. I also had not heard of her website until now. Personally, I do not think it takes 14 years to acheive that kind of growth. Check out this website that was forwarded to me by the website host. It will show and tell you how to get Cathy`s length in just 2 years. http://www.growafrohairlong.com/

I think that trimming the ends is important, nothing worse than a woman with raggedy uncut ends. When the ends are split, the hair does not just "look bad" it is unhealthy. Never heard of cathy Howse. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I hate to disagree with Cathy Howse... But it is ridiculous to think that you can grow long hair without trimming off damage split ends...
My hair is over 24inches long and I know that I must trim off dead and damage ends for my hair to look its best... When you allow split ends to hang around it only splits farther up the hair shaft and creates more damage... Please get rid of the damage ends and then use the hair products...
It`s fallacy to think that hair products can fix damage hair...
I also viewed Cathy Howse`s website & purchased her book. I haven`t tried her products but she does list in her book what to look for when searching for hair care products. Before reading her book my hair was severly damaged. After I found out what type of shampoo & conditioner to use on my hair it was so much healthier and I also have noticed some new growth without trimming my ends.
I viewed Cathy Howse`s website on how she grew her hair long. She states that trimming hair is not necessary for it to grow. Has anyone else grown their hair without trimming it ? And does anyone use her products? If so, are they as good as she claims?
