I agree. I went into the salon one evening with intentions of having my ends trimmed, and my stylist said that she did not recommend me getting my hair trimmed. However, she did recommend more frequent deep conditions to help prevent them. But being some what unsure about this, I asked other professionals for their opinion, and 3 out of 4 agreed with my stylist. Therefore, I have not had my ends trimmed in a very long time.

I don`t think trimming the hair makes it grow faster. It`s just that if you trim regularly, you eliminate split ends which can cause breakage which in turn makes it seem as though the hair isn`t growing. Your hair is growing all the time, but if it breaks off you will not see an increase in length. So by trimming, you are not increasing the growth rate, you are retaining length by preventing breakage. That may make it seem as if the hair is growing faster if you have been experiencing breakage for a while.
It matters not what you are thought of, but what you are- Syrus
I was just wondering what happens to my hair after i cut the end of my braids. What i was doing was trying to prevent split ends so i cut about half of an inch of the end of my braids. People were saying that if u trim your hair it goes fast. So what happens to it, I know it wont have split ends, but would it grow even faster?
