Thank you Rabia. I agree with you because it just doesnt make sense to have the breakage/shedding and yet my hair appears longer and thicker. I would definitely notice breakage because my hair would appear shorter and thinner in some areas. I feel much better now :) Thanks a bunch and happy hair growing to you too.

I have read that it is normal to lose 50-200 hairs a day. Your hair is probably shedding, it is perfectly normal and healthy. If you were having breakage due to damage you would notice it and your hair would probably feel dry. Just keep up with your treatments and keeping hair well moisturized. Happy beautiful hair growing.
I would like to thank everyone for their advice. I went home last night and I gave myself a protein treatment for about 10 mins and then a deep conditioning treatment for about 15-20 mins and my breakage has stopped. Thanks ladies!
Thank you and your reply does help. I guess overall there is no real worry but I will keep a close eye on my hair and make sure I dont see any real damage happening. In the meantime I will focus on a protein treatment and deep conditioning.
I have what most would consider medium-long hair,a couple of inches below my shoulders, and I have a question for everyone because I dont know if what I'm experiencing is normal or not. I notice that everyday I comb my hair (some days more than others) I get short pieces of hair on the sink. Sometimes they are half an inch and sometimes they are about the length of half of my hair strand. Also some days its about 2-5 broken hairs and other days its up to 10 but never more than that. The funny thing is that my hair is growing very rapidly and I am seeing length obtained. Its also thicker than it used to be so there is no evidence showing that I am loosing hair or length. I know the experts say that we will always experience breakage but the key is to minimize it. Please tell me girls have any of you experienced this? Is this anything that I should be concerned about?

Hi, I too am not a professional but I once read that loosing about 50 hairs a day is normal. So what you are experiencing is okay.
I currently take a multivitamin and biotin. I tried taking extra protein internally with vitamins and drinks and although it did wonders for my hair it also made me gain weight very fast. I had to stop taking them. I drink about 36-50 ounces of water per day. I think I`m going to go ahead and do a protein treatment this evening. I`m just greatful that I cant tell where the hair is breaking from because there`s no lost length. Perhaps it could be shedding. I dont have any split ends because I just trimmed them about 2-3 weeks ago, plus I check almost everyday for split ends. My mom said it could be new hair growing in that is shedding, not the hair that are already there. Her theory is thats why the length of the breakage is much shorter because its newer hair that been growing and hasnt been there as long as the longer hair. I dont know but anyway it will be a protein treatment and a very deep conditioning treatment tonight. Thanks girls for your advice.
If you wanna reduce breakage, u should try some protien treatment, and Bule Magic anti breakage, I also drink protien drinks for my hair and it makes my hair really thick! you should try some protien drinks, that helps out alot!
