THIS WHITE WOMAN AT WORK THIS MORNING IN FRONT OF HER COWORKERS SAID TO ME THOSE FUNNY LINES IN YOUR HAIR REALLY LOOK NICE.AFTEWARDS WENT LAUGHING OFF.DIDNT NO WETHER TO GET OFFENDED OR SAY THANKYOU.DONT UNDERSTAND WHITE PEOPLE THEY HATE US BECAUSE THEY AINT US. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL AND IM STILL BRUSHING.

I think most white people just want to be like us. Period... I think she was trying to give a compliment and was just misinformed about what waves were. I've been around a lot of white people and they are fascinated with black hair (touching asking about it ect.). So, thas my take...

Coming from a MULTI RACIAL BACKGROUND .. won't go into details.. but my family reunions are a mess...
I sort of understand the white people

I have been asked by my asian/white friends about my waves ...just questions that you mind find offensive/dumb/ etc.... but I just think it was a compliment ..

Basically I guess you can apply the (learn something new everyday rule)
It's just like you question some of the things white people do or say...


oh yea and...

Why do blk peeps have to go all Psycho Racial when they are asked a question by a white person? I don't really get that serious unless it's an obvious insult ...

yeah lots of whites are curious bout black peoples hair ... i used to rock an afro when i didnt have it braided up, white people would always want to touch and da few that i let they'd be like wow ur hairs really soft .. they think that every black persons hair is hard and course when its not

nik3 i do believe sometime blacks can overreact about alot of racial issues but sometimes whites can try to be sarcastic or make indirect satements with overt intention .for example most white say to me some time out of ignorance,why do you brush your hair it doesnt move or anything almost like carpet.to that we have to correct them.now this situation could have been totaly innocent but i have low tolerance for white ignorance.psyco racial i dont know but whites do need to be corrected if they say something out of line or entertaining to there friend,this is why i wrote this forum in question form racism or compliment because i didnt want to feel like the joke was on me , love your waves and thx for a different perspective.
