Damn girl that is a whole lot. I thank you for giving me the best advice I can get. But what if you have permed hair.Today I just got my hair braided in cornrows medium sized. I have this braid spray and Hot Six Oil. i bought them today.I am so happy but that was a whole lot. Do you do that every week. And I have seen the website www.growafrolong.com . I have even searched this site from day to night. I understand my hair is in braids right now as I said. Do I have to buy all those products? And the one I want to keep: Hot Six Oil Braid Spray Infusium 23 Leave In Conditioner Creme of Nature Detangaling and Mostuirixzing Shampoo
That is all I have. Can I just use that in my regimen. If you see my post Hair Care Regimens you will see how I plan it out. I have seen your pictures and you say you have natural hair. I have permed hair. But how do you keep it straight or make it look like it is permed. You are so lucky. My hair is chin length and three weeks to four weeks later my hair grew half a inch in cornrows. I had used Infusuim 23 Leave In Conditioner for day and night.
I was so happy. But do I have to have all those products because I am a teen and my mom will not spend money on that. I have some of the products you have but those few can do fine. My hair is in cornrows what regimen do you suggest for that. I just braided it today. And I sleep in Satin head wrap. So I have to do something please respond as quick as you can.
Sincerely, God Bless You Thank You Sistagirl

My Hair growth regime
1. How long do you usually keep your braids in? 2 months at a time
2. How often do you wash your hair? Once a week
3. Do you dilute your shampoo and conditioner?
Yes, i use 1 capful of shampoo and fill half a cup of water, then pour it over my braids. However, i do not use instant conditioners on braids, because it may cause possible build up at the base of the braids. this only complicates the process of removing the exstensions, as conditioners tend to be thicker than shampoo.
Instead, I condition my braids with african pride braid spray and use infusium 23 to keep my hair in healthy condition.
4. What braid spray do you use? African Pride or African Royale, I lightly spray my hair once or twice a day.
Denise’s two month after Braids or Extensions hair treatment regimen
1. My hair is parted into small to medium sized sections, using the end of what I term a rat-tail comb. These are usually fine-tooth combs with a long thin end, it glides through hair easily with less stress and friction at the roots of the hair. For this reason I prefer not to use the teeth of the comb to part my hair with, anymore.
2. Add a Pre-shampoo hot-oil treatment with warmed olive oil for 30 minutes, to each section of hair I loosely but securely braid or twist, wear a plastic cap with a warm towel wrapped securely around the cap.
3. After hot oil treatment, remove towel and cap, but keep the braids in the hair. This is, because my hair is natural 4a/4b, to prevent excessive breakage and tangling, during my shampoo.
4. Keeping the hair in form, I proceed with the shampoo treatment.
5. Wet hair with warm water; apply ION Clarifying Shampoo, only to remove build up once every six weeks.
NOTE: I only use this after I remove braids/extensions, my regular shampoos are Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged hair or Crème of nature detangling shampoo.
6. Towel squeeze, then add Aphogee treatment for damaged hair, blow dry on warm until hair is hard, then wash it out.
Alternatively…
Use CPR treatment conditioner, to stop shedding and breakage, leave on for 30-40min
7. Squeeze out excess water, (if you followed the Aphogee treatment for damaged hair) use Keracare Humecto crème conditioner for 40-60 minutes or Lekair cholesterol for extra dry hair, and wear a plastic cap and towel over the hair. This neutralizes the heavy protein treatment and adds balanced moisture levels back into the hair.
8. Detangle each section of hair carefully with fingers first, then gently comb through using a wide-tooth comb, use a supporting hand to grip the hair and lie flat to lessen stress and re-tangling hair, then re-braid sections of hair.
9. Rinse out with warm water, sealing hair cuticle with cool water
10. Towel blot hair then detangle one section at a time, I apply each of the following products in this order.
11. Infusium 23 is a hair strengtheners –
12. Aphogee Pro-vitamin Leave in conditioner
13. Profectiv breakfree-
14. Use barber scissors and measuring comb to trim split ends, once every eight weeks.
15. Oil the ends of hair with Wildgrowth hair oil then use Robin Woods ends sealing regimen.
“This is what I call 'ends sealing'. I have used this technique on myself and the clients whose hair I braid. After conditioning & towel squeezing, I section the hair and apply a medium sized amount of pressing oil (Use a light oil) I fold aluminum foil around the ends. (half way up the hair section most of the time) then I take a hot non-electric bumper curlers or flat iron and clamp it over the aluminum foil for 5-7 seconds. I make sure I only cover the aluminum not the hair. Then I keep the foil on until it's cooled. This will help a great deal with your ends if your ends have been constantly dry. The ends will soon stop shedding because you're locking in moisture down to the cortex” (www.growafrohairlong.com).
