The hairdresser puts it on my hair so I don't know the box color. I get it done every 8 weeks and shaped every 2 weeks. It's easy, but I'm bored.

After reading your post, I've started wearing it curly using your directions somewhat. I go back next week for a shape and will tell her to just modify the shape to get it to grow back. I reallly like the idea of not having bone straight hair.

Thanks again PJ-7

Stylin, your'e so welcome. I'm glad that after all my years of trial and error and scary curls I could perfect a system all the sistahs can use. You don't have to have "good hair" to get that naturally curly look. Our natural texture, if not relaxed too straight, will produce the same results! Good luck in trying my method.

By the way, did you say you have an S-curl? As in the texturizer in the blue box?

Thank you Product Junkie, you made my day. I have an S-Curl and like the management of it. I also want to grow my hair for the winter (neck gets real cold) but do not want to get rid of the S-Curl. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are so right, there is barely anything to be found about our hair care...you can find styles but no suggestions how to achieve them. Thanks again. Stylin

I feel you on the lack of support for natural hair. I get tired of explaining to stylists that I want to wear my hair curly, so just texturize it, don't relax it.

Anyway, during the first month of my relaxer/texturizer, my hair looks like 'Claire's', though not as long.

Just wash and condition, then put on an anti-frizz serum like John Frieda or Shine serum (not the spray) while it's still wet. I add 911 leave-in conditioner (not the cream, the clear liquid). Then I comb with a wide tooth comb. I put in plenty of Shine mousse, making sure to get the roots all the way through, not just the top layer. Comb w/ rat tail comb to smooth it out. Your hair will be really smooth now, and close to your head.
Separate w/ wide- tooth comb, then flip your head over and start scrunching. When you have some wave definition, start drying with a diffuser on a warm, not hot setting. Or just get in front of a fan (my favorite). If you dry it all the way with the dryer, you better get up early! I never can do it.

I leave the house with it still damp, then turn on the vent in the car. It will dry completely in an hour or two naturally, but meanwhile, you can still look cute if you just add a clip in the front or veerrry gently shape it a little to the side or whatever.

When it's dry, I separate it with my fingers and touch up with a spray of 911 or foamy wrap setting lotion for rounder curls if the curls look too straight or flat.

Sounds like a lot of work, huh? It goes faster than it sounds. But if you are not naturally curly and have a relaxer, this is the only way. Trust me, I have worked on this process for years, and this is my system. I get a lot of compliments, and most people think I look prettiest in this style.

I did read Jennifer Nicole Freeman's article on a Black Hair magazine, but I received not enough from her.

Try to ask Long Hair Care Forum that some may know.

I was just wondering does anyone know what Jennifer Nicole Freeman's hair Routine is. I would love to my curls like her, and get my hair to her length. For all that dont know she is the girl Claire off of my wife and kids. They had an article of her in hype hair mag, but i was disappointed because it didnt say anything about her hair routine, it made you think they were going to talk about her routine but theydidnt. It didnt give any thing about what products she used, it just had a picture of her in the little section in the book that is supposed to be geared for people with natural hair but anyway i was wondering does anyone know her routine.
