I've been a professional at this for about 20 years, then sew in was the best we could do. you can loose hair if not removed carefully.Try another method because you sound like u r on the way to scale damage

i had in sew ins multiple times i put in castor hair oil right in the spot where it itched.... but its probably itching right underneath the braid what i did for that is keep a bobby pin in my hair so when i need to scratch i can put it right underneath the braid without messing up my hair style
i usually keep my sew ins for bout a week and a half or 2 I can't keep styles in that long but my head do start to itch quickly
I just got a sew in for the very first time. I've had it for about three weeks now and I love the look, but the itching is almost unbearable. I thought my scalp was dry (I had some flaking) so I applied scalp oil but it appears that only collected on my scalp between the tracks and made things worse.
Any suggestions on what to do in between washings so that I don't walk around constantly smacking myself on the head (weave wearers KNOW what I'm talking about ) or worse, wake up in the middle of the night scratching myself to death?
Also, if anyone has had a sew-in before, would you please give me your honest assessment of how it worked for you? How long did you wear it? Did it damage your hair? Anything will help--I don't seem to be able to get many answers from hairdressers or friends.
