Can someone please tell me if Dax Lanolin is good for growing Afro Hair, I am male and recently started growing out my hair {November 2004} But i was using doo grow for a while but heard that Dax is really good, but i find it way to heavy.so i have stoped using it, I am currently using Le Kair Supergrow along with the Cholesterol Conditioner, has any one else used this product, P{Le Kair Super Grow}?

I reccomend natural products for the majority of African hair types but I think any hair oil or grease is okay in moderation. I would recommend taking about 1 tsp at a time and rubbing it toghether between your palms and applying it lightly and evenly with your hands. Avoid over applying it which may clog your pores. Moistering will help prevent breakage...It will not actually promote growth but of course if you hair does not break it will grow longer. I think that this should work for people whether they are 3c(tight curls) or 4b(afro).

Dax us very heavy.  Try a leave in hair mayonaise, it has lots of protein in it.

I agree. I believe I used Dax a few times and my hair was sooo weighed down, but it laid my hair down when I put it in a ponytail.

For hair mayo, try Africa's Best Hair Mayo.  It doesn't have petrolum or mineral oil.  This can be used as a deep conditioner and as a leave-in.

Thanks, that is the kind that I use.  It's great. I'm thinking of trying it using the baggie method. It should work good.
