Hi Everyone,

There are several old posts about this flat iron. I actually have it and it works great.  Here is a link to some of the the old posts:

Hope this helps...

Yes, it is on sale for $77 + shipping which is a steal. Go to eBay.com and bid ASAP b/c the bid ends later today. It is brand new too. I was bidding on it, but I just bought a Corioliss from the mall yesterday.

I am also interested in purchasing a flat iron. My hairdresser uses Babyliss on my 4a hair: it seems to work well. I would like to purchase a Solia, still thinking about it. I was told that it is very good as well.

I came across this site that has reviews about Maxiglide. Hope this helps.

I got the MaxiGlide from ShopAtHome.com sometime in December and it really works! My hair is very thick, frizzy and curly and regular flat irons usually don't work. With the MaxiGlide,I usually wash and condition my hair, let it air dry, prep it with a little Carrot Oil Creme or heat protectant, set the iron to about 5 and go to work on my hair. I don't even need to use the plate with the pegs! The only to be careful of is the fact that even with the iron set at half-strength,it can be REALLY hot! It didn't flip my hair under enough, but it gave me a really cute flip. I hope this info helps!

Try looking around the 'Straightening Board' as well, more than one person has posted about the Maxiglide there.

Has anyone tried the new ceramic straigtening iron called Maxiglide. I've been to many other different sides and have read the praises of other people. I've heard it even works on ethnic hair but I haven't read many threads of people with ethnic hair. I just received the product yesterday and just wanted to be sure before I start using it. But if it works as good as everyone proclaims then I will let you.

Thanks,

Tigress
