QuoteReplyTopic: Hot Stuff Fusion hair? Posted: March 23 2005 at 5:52pm
I believe its a thermofiber hair... anyway, anyone know where I can get
this online, in 20-22", or longer... or locally? (I live in Pittsburgh)
Thanks!

Grrr....no 613 with the Hot Stuff or the WaWa. What's up with the blonde discrimination? Man....
Sher: I didn't have much luck with the Ebonyline Adore because it was
taking forever for me to get any curl out of it. But I noticed you said
in one of your last posts that it has become easier to curl it as
you've worn it more. (Or did I dream this? I do dream about fake hair
sometimes). Anyway, just in terms of curlability, would you say the
Ebonyline is comprable to the WaWa, the Hot Stuff, and the Freetress
Futura? And have you noticed any other major differences between these
brands, or do all the therms basically seem the same? I remember that
the Freetress came in 613 too, correct? Maybe I should give that a
whirl....
By the way, has anyone heard from FinaFina? I'm dying to hear about her
latest hair adventures. I also thought she was testing both the WaWa
and the PH side by side (I could've dreamt this too, though.)

Jenny I havent tried wearing any of the other thermals besides the ebonyline thermal yet. So I really cant say anything to much beyond my initial impressions or tests of the other brands. But yes I did say that the ebonyline thermal responds different to curl after some wear, than it did when new or first installed. It takes and holds curl similar to my human hair that its mixed with. At first it curled different and took longer to achieve the same curl as my human hair, after a few days and washes it started to respond different to curling. I hold the curling iron in my hair about 10 seconds or less and as long as the curl cools before I bother it, its identical in curl pattern as my human hair.
The wawa 27/613 bulk is two bulk colors bundled together that I can seperate into individual colors (pretty much) without mixing up much of it, so I am suprised that they dont offer a 613 color, they obviously manufacture it. I dont get it!
The freetress does come in a 613, but it is much shinier than any of the other thermals or PH
I havent purchased any of the Hot Stuff Fusion yet, that may be my next purchase.....and another storage tote! LOL
i wanted the hot stuff because i noticed they have a blood red color i
*really* want, but the one site I found it one before just had the
20-22" in french refined, and I need straight or body wave. i wonder if
the freetress or ebonyline would have that color? hmmmm... anyone know
where I can find those brands? thanks everyone.
~Jenn, almost done installing and lovin the WaWa more than ever!

WOW -- you hair goddesses have been BUSY BUSY BUSY!!
Miss a few days. . . and it takes a week to catch up!!
Anyway. Here's the latest on my hair. . .this curly PH is just *too
much*. . .I cut a lot of layers in it, which is really what it required
(otherwise it was too HUGE), but the problem then is dealing with all
of those ends in different places.
I got my Glamour Hair 18/22 weft (French Refined?) and the color blends
*really well* with my root/highlighted colors. I put it around my face
and it is SUCH A RELIEF to be able to just CURL it or DRY it without
worries and knowing it will pretty much do WHAT I DEMAND OF IT!! BTW
for pretipping - I did it on the weft using about 1 6" piece. I 'drew a
line' of LG on each side of the hair, then kind of separated it into
the natural strands that seem to be created on the weft. I cut the tips
to 1/8" long (just enough to get it in the shrinkie) and didn't use
nail glue. The bonds are small and personally I am still LOVING
shrinkies. I also don't have any trouble removing the LG residue --
sesame oil works fine.
I'm getting ready to order PH for the next round -- I am going to do a
straighter PH -- most likely in Birke, Blonde, and Platinum, 50mm wave
-- going for the straighter look. I will continue to do human
hair around my face (I think anyway).
I can't stress ENOUGH - with PH - you just CANNOT do much to it when
it's wet, including combing it. You MUST wait until it's nearly dry.
The more you do when it's wet (to hurry along the drying process) the
worse it looks. Anybody else concur with this??
However I had AWESOME results last week putting it up in velcro rollers
and sitting under an old-fashioned dryer. . . it was soft and shiny and
felt great.
You all amaze me with your CONTINUAL DEVOTION to posting on this
board! I've been busy but trying to read when I can!!

Yup! I totally agree.

I'm going to try these Velcro rollers now. Do you think they work better, with the dryer, than the hot rollers?

Yes I do. The hair seemed to come out *really silky* and bouncy. Of course there's that *minor* problem. . . which is. . . you have to *wait* to see your result (i.e. WAIT til the hair is dry, then cool, etc.). . .
Anyway it produced a great, soft wave. OK, I admit it, I also slept half the night with a few of them in my hair. Well it wasn't exactly SLEEPING, I *tried* to sleep with them in. . .
