Anyways, the thing is I have yet to replace my broken curling iron. Or my straightening iron. They both broke for some reason. I didn't do anything unusual to them but last time I tried them, they wouldn't heat up. Odd. So I need a new one. The curler was a braun cordless and the straightening iron was a gold-plated revlon. I recommend you don't buy them.
Any recommendations for a new curling iron? And which size barrel do you think would be good? On the magazine it says "a small curling iron".. which doesn't help. I was thinking 3/4" or 1"? I have no clue! Oh, and while we're at it, any recommendations for a volumizing mousse? I have hair just like avrils, [maybe a bit longer than hers] long and stick straight so I don't know much about curling hair.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

it looks like those curls were done with a 1" curling iron. i would
reccomend that you go to a beauty supply store, like sally beauty, and
get a good curling iron. tell the sales clerk the price range you are
willing to spend, and she can reccomend the best one in your price
range. as for a volumizing mouse,
basically anything will work. if you want to get a good ammount of
volume tho, u should probably try something from a salon line. i would
reccomend something form Matrix Biolage!!
learn to love what you were born with
you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)

Hot Tools makes awesome curling irons. I have the 3/8" (absolutely awesome for tight spirals) and the 11/2" for softer loopy curls. Based on what it sounds like you're looking for I'd suggest a size between 1/2" and 3/4". The Hot Tools curling irons are usually under $30. But you will need to go to either a salon, or something like Sally's or Ulta to find one.
