I have done all my research on clip-ins and am ready to take the plunge. What I cant decide is this: I went to a local wig shop and tried on the raquel welch clip ins and the texture and color worked very very well. The store wanted $239 but I found I could them on the internet for about $169 with a coupon. My second option would be to make them myself but there are so many hair options and having never made them myself or worn them yet Im a little hesitant. However the price would be definitely lower. *BUT* the quality of the hair may be better. What should I do???? Does anyone know or have any experience with the quality of the hair on the clip ins from Raquel?? Also Hairaddition.com has european bodywave (fine) for $69 which he said is much better than the bohyme...why it's cheaper he wasn't sure. Thanks for your help!

making them is painfully easy, all you do is sew the clips to the weft, and this way you can make all the sizes and peices to suit your needs. when I wore clip ins I used 11 peices and the lenght varied from a foot long to an inch and a half.
BTW - have you thought of using synthetic hair? some of the really good synths look just like human hair, and cost way way lower
I have checked into the synthetic hair and you are right they are cheaper. I wear alot of synthetic hair pieces already:ie:pony tail, etc. I have considered it but they tend to be a shiner than my own hair and then when they loose their shine they tend to get horsehairish.
I am having my hairdresser work my clipins into a style so i really want it to match as close as possible. I think I will get the raquel welch ones for 169 first since that is not too big of an investment. And then later after I work out the kinks and all I will make my own later.
