Hi Everyone,

Firstly, a little introduction of myself.........

I am a 30 something male from England, and I've been having extensions done for over 10 years on and off.

I get them done in Manchester, UK.

The longest they can do them (synthetic, I think it's Dome hair), is about 4" short of my waist (I'm 6ft tall). But I'd really like them longer, can anyone offer advice as to what is the longest you have done or had done, and where? ( A picture would be great too!)

Thanks in advance.

Des.

Whoa! A six foot 30ish guy with nearly waist length hair?! You absolutely must post a picture of yourself, Des. (Your hair, I mean!)

May I ask why you wear extensions and such long ones? Are you a musician or something?

Sure, Des. You can get PlastikHaar in 48 inches or so (Dome is generally 28 inches long).  http://plastikhaar.ch/wholesale/

Both of these brands are high-quality monofiber that work well for heat-seals and various other methods. The main differences are in the colors, lengths, and textures available, and the prices.

Good luck! :)

I was in a band, but don't play anymore.

My own hair won't grow as long as I'd like, that is why I get hair extensions.

I haven't got any pictures of me stored on the Pc, I'll try and sort that though sometime next week.

Hi Des, you can also buy a fibre called thermobre from American dream (who are also in England) and they have lengths up to 60" (yeah 60 inches!) and best of all i pack is more than enough for a full head and only costs £32.95  You can contact them on 08000852294.

Good luck.

Sorry to bring this up again, but also, I'd like to know what is the longest hair on a weft you can buy? Both synthetic and natural real hair?

Thanks in advance,  and apologies again.

Des

Well, PlastikHaar is available in super-long wefts, but you have to wait a little while to receive them because they have to be ordered from the company's Japanese supplier. That's your longest option for monofiber on a weft.

For thermofiber, theoretically you could order from American Dream, which supposedly has like 60" thermofiber wefts available (according to their catalog), but when we've contacted them, it seems that none of these are in stock, so you'd have to call. They may also have some super-long wefts in human or other kinds of synth, I don't know.

The longest human hair I've ever seen for sale (barring some rather bizarre eBay listings) are at hairaddition.com for 32"; it's either Sepia or WigPro. It's not especially good hair, and since Dome's around 28", it wouldn't give you a whole lot more length, really.

Good luck! :)

Sorry again!

I better point out that I don't actually want my hair extensions to be as long as 60". But then again, who knows? Has anyone ever had them done that long?

Seriously though, I'm looking for something like 36" or 38" long on a weft.

Thanks for your fantastic help so far.

You can cut the hair to any length that suits you , you know?

Exactly. AFAIK, there's no one who sells precisely 36" or 38" long hair, so the info. I listed above still applies--you'll need to cut it to the length you want. :)

Of course, I understand that I could cut the hair, but I just wanted to point out that if hair at 60" long cost a certain price, and hair at a shorter length cost less, then I would buy the length more suited to my requirements.  I also wanted you to know that I didn't actually want my hair to be sooooooo long!

Would be good to see someone with hair that long though!

Thanks for the sound advice, I do really appreciate it.
