I got a headfull of PH 28mm (curly) installed 8 weeks ago. I wash and
style my hair a lot, and it's not looking too good. I've replaced many
strands already -- the ends were like fuzzy wire.
Right now I have half-thermal (sides & top), and half-PH. It's
lookin' pretty train-wreck-ish if you ask me -- but this curly PH has
been a bit of a challenge from the beginning.
I'm getting 50mm put in in 2 weeks. That will be 10 weeks with this
hair. I wouldn't want to go any longer -- in fact I'm ready to take it
all down now except I can't get to my stylist until May 7.

I had this nice response all typed up and then my network connection went to hell...
Anyhow straight synth(PH) like I think you said you wanted can last up
to maybe three installs properly taken care of. Curly doesn't
hold up quite as well. Because you need to blow out the ends from
time to time and hot water in the shower lossens things up you lose the
curl and have to reset it. the more you mess with it the faster
it dies.
I haven't been playing with long enough or heard enough about thermo to really claim to know how long it lasts.
In some respects HH seems likea crap shoot but I don't use it so maybe someone else can chime in.
