I have the hand tied weft done with micrtubes and it works really well (well if the hair was better) I do find that with H.H. it has to be good "directionally aligned" cuticle hair, with this type it does not tangle anywhere near the way that many of the others have.
Good cuticle (remi) hair is worth the extra money because it looks nicer, doesn't tangle alot, conditions well and just over all looks more natural and healthier. You also don't have to replace it as fast. I would love to find "real russian" hair. It would cost alot, but it would be soooo much nicer, with proper care it last much longer and the consistency is nice. Gosh, I tell you what, I have spent less time researching for a new car...this is exhausting

I'm new to extensions, just got one row of really bad asian hair in my
fine hair. It tangles like crazy and is way too coarse to blend with
mine. I love the braided weave. I'm going to order a hand wefted
wavy dark blond 25% thicker product from Extensions Plus. I talked
to their manager Cheyne, she seems to be in the know. i have to
start somewhere. it's gonna be around 200 dollars.
Bohyme is a brand name, and Ebonyline is just one site that sells it.
"Remi" or "Remy" are terms that are used--way too liberally, imo--to
describe what a seller believes is "high-quality" hair. It does not
necessarily mean the hair is from anywhere specific or has been treated
or untreated in any particular way.
I've never used the EP Remi, so I really couldn't tell you how it compares to the Bohyme. Metalgirl may know, though.
Was looking at ebony and extensions plus. Do you have any idea what the difference is between EP's Remi and Ebony's Bohyme? Is Bohyme a trade name or is it also Remi?
For human, I'd go with some of the more tried-and-tested sellers:
Bohyme (available at ebonyline.com), Extensions Plus (available at
extensions-plus.com), Glamourhair's Remi (available at
glamourhair.com), or His and Her Cuticle Hair (available at
hisandher.com). In my mind, these are the human-hair "big four"--the
reputable brands that have consistently received the best
reviews. What's best for you among those four really depends on the
specific color, length, texture, and price you're looking for.
Of course, there are also sites that sell relatively unprocessed Indian
hair, like Nature Girl, Indianhairs, and Bliss, which may or may not make sense given your hair
type, the look you want to achieve, and how much work you're willing to do to prepare the hair for use.
Synth is a little more straightforward. For monofiber, any of the
leading brands--PlastikHaar, Dome, Trimco, Prostyles--are all good
quality. Trimco is only available in straight, though, and Prostyles
only sells to licensed stylists. PlastikHaar has the best overall value
and selection, so that would be my choice. For thermofiber, WaWa hair
from Vixenwigs on eBay would be your best option, imo.

FWIW... noticed in another thread you were trying to find #3 Bohyme? I saw the ebonyline basic color chart - it shows a #3. Don't know if I am allowed to post a link here though...
Im with you Skye, i have been researchng that exact thing for the past 4 weeks and their are lots and lots of places. In my experience, the only way to know is to get a sample and see if its what you are looking for. 24" is also a difficult length to get but you can still get it. The 101 thread at the top of the board has alot of recommendations
Hello, I am trying to find really good quality cuticle hair. Body wave, 22-24 in. or longer, hand tied weft in the brunette shades.
I understand from reading the postings that European virgin/cuticle hair would be the best but also the most expensive. I know some places claim to sell this type of hair but from all that I have read, I question that. Can anyone please tell me or give me any advice as to where I should go to purchase really good quality human hair? What do you feel is the best (least damaging) method when applying extensions? I do appreciate any help that anyone can offer me.
