Delin, cool. Part of the reason I tried the black ones is because they feel a little different than clear and I think I need to wear a whole head so I can really give a testimonial for them. They have more of a rubbery feel before they shrink down but mygod are these things rockin. I don't want to go back to clear. Ever. These feel great and tight and hard and they are totally hidden.
Check it out. The only way you can even see there's a shrinkie there is because I accidently have a little bit of the extension tip coming out the top. See it?
Wow you look like a goddess! Now how long will it take you to remove those? And will the glue be super hard to get out? Will it be a tangled mess? How long will you leave them in for?

I'm late to the party as usual but WOWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEE!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE the AMOUNT of hair you put in -- how many bags total would you say it is ? ? Also - can you post some pics on how you integrated the front/sides? ? i.e. are your Farrah bangs still intact?
Also - that's amazing news about the black shrinkies. I just ordered some clear ones from you -- I definitely need to get some of the black! Sorry, I just love this:
"These feel great and tight and hard and they are totally hidden". . .ahh yes. . secret pleasures!!
RE being scared of PH. SLEEP WITH HAIR IN BRAIDS. Keep heat away. You'll be fine. I think, anyway. . .

I slept last night with its full length down but I had an elastic band
placed about every 4 inches from top, down to the bottom. I got up
today and my hair was pretty smooth but it's straighter than it was
yesterday. I can tell this wave won't last any time at all. I almost
thought about putting the rollers in but I decided to wait.
I don't have any plans on washing it soon. I may go up to 5 days.
We'll see how long I can stand it.
The tangling isn't an issue right now. As Boogiemama once said, "If
you're not flying the flag, put it away." Good advice to follow.
Went out tonight, though, and the stares were constant. Had a couple
compliments and the hubby was smirking like "if they only knew."
Minimal rubbing against the back of my shirt and the hair needed
some immediate attention. It got kinda all over the place with
fuzziness. It's like the hair lays all over itself and doesn't look
smooth.
I need to fill in a few places on the sides and I may go just a row
higher up the back toward the crown. Some of my own spindly yuk
hair is poking through and I can't stand it.
There's no products in the hair yet. I'm holding off as long as
possible and I'll be following Jenny's "less is more" axiom as I
discovered the same holds true for hh.
There was one point today where I hated the hair. I didn't like the
length or the flat, fine style. My mind has changed several times over
the course of the day. I love it, I hate it, I love it, I don't know how I
feel, I kinda like it, no I don't...
I have the love/hate thing going on when I first install, change color, change stye to. I think that happens with any change...it takes a little while to adjust. From the pictures is looks great. The installs on here that don't appeal to me...I just don't comment on
Do you have to curl your hair. This is what has me a bit worried. With HH I just curl it all together but with low heat for the synth I dont know if mine will curl. How do you deal with both on one head. Looks great though. I'm afraid to do the whole thing myself my arms would give out. I fill and replace as needed but WOW great job AMM. By the by I do love the shrinks I can tell there is more adhesive in there. What size are you using?

hey amm - how to put it bluntly? do you color your own hair? the reason i ask is that i love the color..all the different tones in the PH are beautiful, picking up your hair so nicely.
Amm, what a beautiful head of hair you have there. It looks very natural to me from the picuture. The way you have it layered on it head - I am just blown away that you are able to do all of this on your own. You are so talented Amm - we are all so proud of you .
marie, I used some a little bigger than standard but shorter than the extended length on the bottom in the back. I shortened the shrinkies as I moved up. I split a standard in two around the temples and the sides of the face but I pretty much just used standard.
ccross, the last time I had my hair professionally colored was last October. I've done a couple touch ups with I think it was Revlon Colorsilk in Dark Blonde. I use it just to kick the shine up. I can't veer too blonde or go darker because I think it makes my skin tone look awful and I hate root upkeep.
As far as layering, the hair really isn't cut except for just a few places around the face and on the top back. Most of the hair was doubled over, latex was spread on the looped part and then I rolled it together when it got tacky. I wasted almost no hair and after 5 days I have had zero shedding. This is definitely the best install as far as tipping, rows and YOWZA factor I've ever done, imo.
