So, I don't have them in because I want to stay 100% Plastikhaar right now but I want you guys to see what I got.

This is American dream in #16, silky straight, 18" on a machine weft. I wanted to see how it was before I committed to a bigger order and I can definitely use this color and length for framing, etc. It's as beautiful as it looks.

When they say 100 grams, they mean it.

Pretty, pretty, like soft butterscotch

For those with PH color rings, American Dream #16 = PH "Blond"

Whatcha think, thermo luvers?

It does. I received an AD sample myself and, I must say, it feels very nice. It actually feels a lot like the straight WaWa to me, but I haven't done any testing with the hair (washing, curling, etc.). Just based on the look and feel, AMM, how would you say it compares to the WaWa straight? :)

Ahh... that's pretty!  I'm surprized you got straight Amm, I thought you were a curly gal??

I wonder how this will hold up compared to the wawa too...  They can't be too different, no?

Yeah I'm also curious how it will compare to WaWa straight.

Of  course my husband saw the Wawa last night and asked when/how I was going to wear it and wanted to know when that meant the stockpile in the closet was going on my head and....

I'm not sure that ordering a bunch of AD is a good idea for me right now.  But then again what he doesn't know will only hurt his wallet.

The burning question is of course PERFORMANCE. I've got so many fried "thermal" ends on my head I'm wondering what good it is (but then again that's the wawa body wave).

It's gorgeous and I use that "Blonde" ALL OVER the place -- in fact I'm getting 2 bags put on my head in a week or so YIPPPPPPPEEEE!!

In *fact*. . .if you want a co-experimentor. . .um. . .keep me in mind!!

No, PH's "Blonde" is what I meant. (Along with Mandel, Platin, and Vanille).  What I meant was if you wanted me to get a few strands "pinchbraided" in with my PH install, I'm sure Bettie would love to give that a try. (She uses heat seals and says she can use *any* hair, including human).

If I send you a snip of this weft, will you try the AD and let us know?
I think the longer lengths in the wider selection of colors should be
available pretty soon.

Hi Amm,

YES absolutely I will. It will blend beautifully with the 50mm PH -- I think anyway!  I'm going to try it in the front area. I'll PM you my info.

Thanks - Fina

It's synthetic hair that can withstand  higher temperature (as compared with monofiber)  It makes it easier for those who need to use heat appliances to get there style.  You can use a regular curling iron on it as long as you don't really crank the temp up.  With monofiber (which has a different texture as well) you can only use low temp appliances somewhat sparingly.

This is more robust wrt heat.  Though many of the brands people have tried have issues with the ends getting frizzy.

Carol at Vixenwigs on Ebay sells Wawa
hairsisters.com sell either wawa or Hot stuff fusion.
Ebonyline has Adore...

and then American dream comes from the UK but you have to call them to order

there are plenty of threads ono it and it is probably listed somewhere int he 101 at the top.

Has anybody worn AD yet? ... Is it like Wawa?

I'm thinking of getting some for my next install.

It's kinda like WaWa. The texture is nicer - silkier and more like real hair, plus it comes in more colors and longer lengths. It takes hot tools well like curling irons, although I didn't find it curled all that well or at least nothing special. Also, I found it got frizzy on the ends within 2 days and I had to trim it off.

It's nice thermofiber hair. I just thought it was expensive when you consider shipping from England and the piss poor dollar/pound exchange rate, and it was too inconvenient to order.

If you're still interested in ordering it, I have the thermofiber color ring and could post pictures.

Thanks Syren ... colour ring pics would be very handy. I'm planning
to do tree braids like this ...

http://public.fotki.com/dontspeakdefeat/different/my_tree_br aids/
tree_braides_018.html

Shame to hear about the curl though

I'm in the UK ... so it's harder for me to get Wawa ... so I'll give AD a
whirl
