http://www.haircrazy.co.uk has a nice color chart on their site and an explanation of how to mix shades to get what you want.

If you go to http://www.manicpanic.com/creamswatch.htm you will see photo swatches of manic panic colors. At the bottom of the page is a link labeled contact. Click that, and on the next page you will find contact information. Send them an email describing your problem, and you should be able to get the info you need.

thanks - I should have noted, I'm not looking for "natural" - just darker.  also, manic panic doesn't make any browns that I know of - fyi.

I don't think it'd be a good idea to mix 2 red shades since your hair is already very red.

I think that you should either chose a warm dark or medium brown dye, or mix one shade of red with a neutral brown to make it more natural and deeper color.

Get some manic panic brown color. Mix about 1/4 brown with your reds next time. That should be darker.

Manic panic fades fast. You're going to have to refresh it every week or two anyway, so it's easy to play with. Mistakes are very temporary.

hey everyone, stumbled across this site - wondering if anyone has any tips as far as what works to get a nice deep maroon color.  I did a mix of manic panics (vampire red and infrared) and it's much brighter than what I was looking for.  natural hair is strawberry blonde.  any suggestions / experience would be appreciated!

thanks!
