I'm the only young person that I know uses it but Comb-Thru Softener works great on my new growth. I foung it in my greatgrandmothers bathroom and now I'm addicted!

cebnn, thank's for showing me the web-page.  And I agree with you $32 is a bit pricey for a boar bristle brush.   I'll check the BSS for one.

I use a natural boar bristle brush. I also have a few paddle brushes with plastic bristles they don't damage my hair that I know of, but I try to use them as little as possiable. I've heard people talk about Denman (sp) brushes being the best. But I think they are kinda pricey, They sell them on Sephora.com

I think boar bristle brushes are good and nylon are bad. I use nylon though.

I don't think brusing is bad. I think certain brushes are bad for your hair tho.  To get my new growth to lay down I use shealoe, or WGHO. Then tie my hair down with a silk scarf.

Not that it's a bad thing.   I am about 10 weeks post relaxer (I'm a 3a/4c). 

I was wondering what products you ladies use to lay that re-growth down?? I was told that brushing your hair is not good either??  I'm learning a lot ladies.
