Hello everyone I am new to this forum. I am wondering if someone could help me. For the Longest Time I have been tryig to get my hair perfectly the way I want it. For the last couple of months I have coem close. I have used this product called the alt studio remix paste. Nw it is discontinued, not only that but it caused me a hell of alot of acne. I guess you could say I am looking for that dry, really straight japanese hair spiked look. The spiked look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club or jet li in his new movie Unleashed. Right now I have like wavy hair my barber tells me. It's like curly and straight at the same time. I know this sounds weird but thats the only way I could describe it. Anyway I hope someone out there can here me this idot me pleaing for help with his hear. Anyway thanks for listening I am open to everyone's ideas, also sorry for the long post.

I forgot to mention that I am half Black & half white but my hair is more white I''d say. I know this sounds strange. But when t is dry I have an afro and when it gets wet it is curly, I wish to get it straight.

I think you're gonna have to use a straightener.

Tried it actually, I like the effect of the straightner but 1 its too time consuming and 2 I need to wash my hair so It will become curly again anyway and 3 It is damaging to the scalp.

lol a couple of question and points;

what the hell does a hair product have to do with acne? please explain

secondly; straightening damaging to the hair ends mainly but this damage can be reduced by daily conditioning of the hair and hair protectant creams which nourish the hair and prevent it from drying out

and finally, if you want that straight oriental look (which i agree looks great) you have 2 options.

a) put up with straightening it daily using the ceramics..if your hair is short, how long can it take? 10 minutes?

b) get your hair chemically straightened which is a mission but suitible research done and your behalf + doing it at a good hair dresser should result in pleasable results

with regards to hair products, try a light wax, or maybe a 'fudge' product, or some fibre putty?

these are new generation hair products obtain much nicer effects then gels etc

if your hair is wavy..no hair product will change that trust me

I appreciate your response, your answer to the acne comes from when my hair, some times hangs over, I guess at the endof the day the hair product makes my hair hang over to my forehead. Ands thats where the acne come from. anyways later and thanks, any more responses I am open from ideas from everyone.

if you want str8 oriental hair, you need to have it rebonded. that is the best way to get really nice abd straight hair.

if i am not mistaken some of the japanese guy with those dry spiked hair uses this product called Gatsby Clay Wax. It has tremendous hold minus the shine, it even absorb excess oil on hair.

I heard about Rebonding the hair, it's usually done in Asian countries. Using heat method, the process can take from 2-4 hours. Similar to Japanese hair straightening system. I think it's worth a try.
