I have badly tangled, almost matted hair and cant even get a brush through it any longer. I've had longish hair for years and never had this problem until recently. I really cant think of what contributed to it but I'll have to shave my head if I cant solve this.
Someone just had a megatangle on the long hair board and she said the
thing that worked best for her was spraying it with leave-in
conditioner and starting at the bottom and working her way up with a
comb while it was slippery. Did you try a new shampoo or
conditioner that caused it?

Ditto with the members of the forum!Oh by all means check to see if the ratio of ammonium( i forget the rest of the name) is in your hair products. This could cause the tangling or it also could be the procedure conducted when washing or drying your hair.I hope this helps.

You might have bird's nest hair it's tangling or
matting of the hair near the scalp caused by piling your hair on
top of your head while shampooing, it occurs in long hair that
hasn't hasn't been cut in years.Combing and brushing wet
hair can cause it to tangle. The only cure for
bird nest hair is to cut off the hair. Please press search and read my
posts.
