a picture would be helpful..
drugstore stuff is mostly good, dont think that paying 1000x on hair products is gonna automatically give u the hair style you want..its how u use them
now considering your asian, you should have relitavely straight hair as u say so i would rule out the use of hair straighterners (although give them a try once - they can create some pretty stunning effects and tame your hair)
about your split ends...get them cut! go for a trim at the hair dresser, just to trim off the ends..u can just grow hair, it needs trimming to keep it healthy..splits ends can split up the root leaving you with a mop that wont style
with regards to making your hair look shiny/straight/etc ie, look cool..
what hair products do u use to style if any? try using a -shine defining wax- that will give your hair texture, defintion, shine and get it pointing where u want it too..
in my opinion, there are only a limited few who can leave their hair to dry naturally and still maintain a cool style..
I'm an asian dude, and my hair is pretty unruly lately. I use drugstore shampoo and conditioner, and even though most people consider it crap it keeps my hair relatively smooth-like. I have fine hair, and i'm trying to grow it out longish, to about four or five inches all around. However, after i shower, the sides stick up really annoying ly, and the ends in the front are all curled and split despite my having straight hair. It FEELS smooth but it only ends up looking rather fobby despite whatever i do to it. Is there any way i could keep the sides down and make my hair look shiny, healthy, and straight all around?
