That looks awesome! Those whitish highlights really make it pop, too.
I should totally start feeding my clients booze. Actually, I wish -I-
could drink while working, but that doesn't really work well. There
have been a few times where I've been drinking while doing hair (just
working on friends; I wouldn't do it at the salon ;) ), and while
no hair-disasters happened, I did notice myself working slower!
Pink streaks, yeah! Jenny gave me some sample colors and Liisa (that's my friend pictured) saw them and went, I want those! So, I tipped them real fast and in they went. Just a few, though.
I'll have more photos in a bit. I just had dinner and now American Idol is on but I'll be back in a bit.
Once upon I time, I tipped. And tipped. And tipped and tipped and tipped...
There's about 200 tips here, close to 4 total bags, about 10 oz in weight, prelayered with the bottom two rows being 30" and gradually going up. Install took about 5 1/2 hours with clear shrinkies and yes I did have a margarita on board (with a Grand Marnier topper).
This is all Plastikhaar hand blended; 70% Vanille, 10% Platin Blonde, 10% Satin Blond, 5% Seiden Blond, 5% Blond, and trace amounts of Creme Weiss UV to pick up light for that "POP" as Rae calls it. (Love that word!) The top strand is the Cinderella strand of Liisa's that was taken out so I could match the colors.
So, this is Liisa, my great friend from work. We both have super monster trucks. She's a flight nurse and just received certification in Botox so if anyone wants a Botox party, this is your connection. She gave permission for all these to be posted and right now she's out partying with her new haar. Happy Birthday, girlfriend!
Before pic. This is after Great Lengths and Cinderella wear for 12 months.[/b}
Yeowza!! I see you gave her the amm version of the Kalika Treatment! Smokin' hot, amm. It certainly helps being blonde and buxom! Hope she makes it in to work tomorrow.
p.s. Trucks rule. Little boys rule.

I love it.Her hair looks beautiful.I'm so jealous. My 20" hair i'm about to put in doesnt look quite so good anymore. That length is to die for.You did a great job amm.
Wow Amm that's amazing. You certainly have the knack! That install is superb. Looking at your tips, they look a lot bigger than mine, how big are yours xxx
Gorgeous, AMM, as usual. Your friend's a total bombshell. I love the
way the Barbie pink looks, and the blending of the blonde is superb.
Her real hair looks similar to mine before I got extensions (after GLs
and Cinderella, mine was much worse).
So you used Creme Weiss? Interesting. That's the one that's really
white, right? (Like sheet white, with a pretty violet undertone.) I
have that one, as well as Perlweiss (non-UV) which is more of a blonde
white.
Thanks! It's harder to do someone else's head. I can't "feel" how secure everything is. Her hair is actually very fine with a pony diameter of about a nickel. I used a little longer shrinkies in the lower back and went standard length as I moved up. Around the temples, I used standard and sometimes snipped them a little smaller when I needed to.
Here's the tips...
They fit fine in the shrinkies. They're not snug enough where you can take your hands off it prior to shrinking. Most of the tips, however, are too big for large microrings.
If you soak the tips in water for about 10 minutes or more, Amanda discovered they come apart. If you don't plan to tip over with a coat of LG or something else to protect it, be aware that they may come apart. Shrinkies will help coat and protect the tips but microring wearers should definitely use a more waterproof tip.
Amm, you did fantastic work with her hair. I hope she gave you some free Botox afterwards (if you wanted it that is) . Beautiful color matching and great style. You can tell that your friend is very excited about her new hair with that big smile she has.
