oh artist, we're gonna need a little more info than that. And
while it sounds like you aren't a beginner you might want to check out
the beginner threads that are tacked up at the top since they cover
some basics on different hair types.
show us a picture, I'll go see what I can find on the beverly johnson hair in general in the meantime
Yeah, tell us a bit more- length and color you need, especially, as
that affects the price quite a bit. You can get 18" in most colors from
hisandher.com for about $100 total (for two bags), and while it's not
the best hair, it's definitely better than Beverly Johnson (iirc,
that's a beauty-supply store brand).
Also, check out a thread FinaFina's got going, about her new supplier
of virgin Remi hair- it's working out to be even less than hisandher
hair, and very high quality!

Hi Rae,
I'll check out FinaFina's thread. The 14" length works well for me. Either wavy or straight.

so there are a couple 14" ones, but i'm closer to getting where you'e going.
okay so another important question is do you need hair on a weft?
And of course are you dead set of HH? the order with Fina is
going to be for a lot longer than 14" Though she may start
actually importing and reselling that....
what kind of styling do you do to your hair ona daily basis? oh and
application method? I'm partial to synth but I'm trying out what
Fina's offering. it's cheap enough.
I'm wearing Wawa straight right now. mostly sewn in wefts on
microlinked tracks. some strand by strand high up and at the
hairline with shrinkies. Still not sure how I feel about
it. but it is much more agreeabe to heat treatment than non
thermal synth...

Id check out the Bohyme line at www.ebonyline.com Its a very good quality hair that recieves alot of good reviews. And the price should be in your range!
By the way Ive used BJ before....YUCK! I had it in for 1 week exactly...that sh*t had to come out!

Hi again Mocha,
I'm not dead set on 14 inches. I could go longer. I prefer
sticking with HH since I'm pretty active with working out and what
not. Plus I'd like to last longer than 4 weeks.
That's the most I can get out of Beverly Johnson hair without it
looking crazy.
I prefer a sewn in weave. Works the best for me since I sometimes
pull it back. As for styling, I usually will wear my hair
straight, only curl it when going out or something.

well there is plenty of synth that will last longer than 4 weeks.
That said. clearly you need hair on a weft to do a sewn in
weave. Bohyme and extensions plus both get good reviews
here. I'll let the HH people step up now since I'm pretty much
clueless apart from what I read.
good luck and show us some pics when you have everything worked out!
Well, 14" Bohyme, which is great quality hair, is $70 a pack, and lasts
at least 2-3 months. I've just started using it, so I haven't had a
chance to see it after 3 months yet, but it -seems- like it's
high-quality enough to re-use? Maybe a longer-term Bohyme user can pipe
up? I know it's a little above your price range, but it'd be worth it
to not have to replace it every month!
The only human hair I ever order for myself or clients is the Bohyme (very good quality, affordable prices) or the Extensions Plus hair (excellent quality, somewhat more expensive).
Bohyme can easily last at least 3 months, and even longer. I was wearing some handtied that stayed nice for about 8 months, and then it started to tangle, not too badly, just a little, so I milked another 2 months out of it.
yeah I'm with you Mer. 1m PH is like 30CHF. so maybe $23? Not sure how the dollar is trading right now.
I actually am enjoying my straight wawa right now. Have it sewn
in and everything. though I have a special blend weft on the way
from PH. 5m. 2/3 of it is for a client and the rest is my
special "mocha's brown" test blends.
this is the link for the hairpieces on the PH site. gives you
feeling for what the hair falls like (of course plenty of people here
have posted their installs as well).

this one gets you to the weft area. I don't know how well you can
really see the wefting but it's nice I've used it. actually the
wefting is better than the wawa I have on now which is quite usable for
sewn in.
alright that's enough harping on the glory of synth you can go back to your thoughts of HH now.
