Oh, but if you want human hair, I would recommend Bohyme or Extensions-Plus.
And I don't mean to be rude about the glue/Gls thing, but the fact is,
most glues (including Elmer's) are protein-based. So "protein" really
means nothing in this context. It's just fancy marketing terminology.

Well, I had GLs and I wouldn't recommend it. The hair is good quality,
but it's not worth the price, in my opinion. I also think the method
(which *is* fusion and *is* glue, whether it's keratin based or not)
can be quite damaging, especially to fine, thin hair.
For anyone who wants bleach blonde, superlong hair (or to almost anyone
in general), I would really recommend synthetic hair instead, and
installing with pinchbraids, heat-seals, microrings, or shrinkies.
Here's a few photos of the recent installs I've had (pinchbraids with
PlastikHaar synth). I like it much better than the GLs I had, and it's
a fifth of the price (GLs cost me $2500 with the hair, this costs me
$400 with the hair):

well Rae I guess thats a point of view . no reason to get rude ... she asked about Gotti's extensions and it turns out she wears Great lengths ... so i dont think it was off topic ... I am not familiar with what Micro Links are ... I just happened to know a whole lot about great length and I happened to know that the gorgeous mane on Victoria is GL ...
And to LongHair Thank you for telling me about other methods .. you did make me curious about them

beachblonde, you might be pleasantly suprised at the other methods out there.Not only are they seamless but much more cost efficient(as you can reuse the hair).Alot Of people have been wearing pinchbraids. Those seem really easy to take out(no glue).just cut a string.There are alot of good methods out there.And mocha's right sadly great lengths like many other fusion methods use glue.Its called keratin but it is another form of glue.They just call it keratin to make it sound better.
We know what GL's website says, thanks. We just don't believe it.
Anyway, this is getting off topic. The original poster said that they
wanted to use microlinks, and simply wanted to know what a good source
of very long hair is. GL will not sell their hair to anyone not using
their system, so recommending them is a moot point.
Broomeboy...what about the Cuticle hair from Hisandher.com? it's gotten
very good reviews, and comes in at least 24" lengths, maybe more. It's
expensive, but at that length you really don't want cheap hair.
All I can say is I have removed the extensions and put them back on many times and found my hair to be intact .

The best way to remove it without having alcool all over your hair is to soak it up with a cotton ball right where the bond is .
Its definitely a better method than anything that involves glue and the most natural ...however I am not the best advocate because I havent tried anything else before opting for these .

Yes I agree , I do need to maintain parts of my head that grow faster ... and actually do change some parts every 3 months or so ...
This method is not damaging if removed properly ... all you need to do is really be patient and soak the bond in alcool solution , it defragments itself in the solution which means no pulling your hair or no breakage ...
most poeple dont have the patience and just start pulling on it which is obviously a no no ...
i love the great lengths but then again i havent tried anything else just because the texture of the hair matched mine to the T ...
Also a huge tip ... is to have your stylist cut the actual strand in half or even 4 pieces which will blend in with your hair and match your texture better ...
Halle Berry has been wearing them lately and you absolutely cannot tell .

Yes great lengths hair is AMAZING....but is it really worth that kind of money? There are comparable alternatives for a fraction of the price. And whether or not the hair is great, the GL method is one of the harsher more likely to cause damage methods there is. Any fusion method is harder and more damaging to hair. There are so many better options and less costly options to install extensions! I could redo my extensions for 5/6 years for the price it costs for 1 great lengths installation!
I find it hard to believe that anyone can go 6 months between changings. My hair which does not grow much, by the way....has to be redone by the 3 month mark...if it makes it that long! Besides the re-growth you get tangling and matting at the root if you go too long which makes removal harder and can cause ALOT of damage!
Hello , I wear the same exact extensions as Victoria's in the same color .
Those are great lenghts ( Go to www.greatlengths.com ) you can even find all the salons in your area certified by the company.
This hair is truly beautiful, 100% human hair ... I have been wearing them for 4 yrs, changing them every six months ... they are absolutely gorgeous ...
Paris Hilton wears them too, but honestly even if the quality of the hair is amazing what really matters is how good of an application you are getting ... Paris' stylist either does a horrible job or she has really short hair which is hard to work with ...
Their SoftWear doesn't come in that length, I think. I never asked if it did and did not see any in the store or any advertised. You may want to check with them and see what's in their "private stock." The wefts I bought from them also were something I probably never would have known about just through the Internet. They have a lot of wefts in long lengths (mine are 28") but I never saw an available texture like what's pictured.
PS: You can get straight Plastikhaar blended for a fraction of the cost and have it look just like this. And it would certainly last longer, I would predict.
victoria gotti has the most georgous hair i've ever seen. i have sholder length hair and i like to use the micro links. my big question is where can i find good hair that length?
