If your hair is long enough, they could foil it with bleach hilights and then tone them. Otherwise, if it is too short you have two options.
1) Have them hilight it using a cap or baliage method, both of which will look frosted and like, totally 80's.
2) Bleach your entire head. Bleach again if desired pale yellow shade is not achieved. Tone with violet-based toner. Use purple shampoo on a daily basis until silver streaks are perfected, ala George Clooney.

I once dated a guy who had his naturally medium blonde hair bleached and toned with a "silver" toner. I believe he could achieve this because he is naturally blonde with an ash base, and then they used an violet toner over that and it picked up a steely tone. Looked cool on him because it worked with his style.

I wanted to know if there were any chemicals out there to turn your hair silver-ISH the same way sun-in or bleech will turn your hair yellow-ish. I have dark brown hair and the sun will give it a natural silver tint if i spend enough time outside everyday.
Does anyone know of something that might make my hair turn silvery?
