is it true that sew-in extensions are very damaging and over years of use you get bald spots. i have talked to those who say it is horrible and those who say it is the best. so which is it? thanx for the help.

depends on your hair and the skill of the person putting them in. ANY hair extension method can thrash your hair if done inproperly (just like haircolor)
In my opinion, when done right, sewn in can be one of the least damaging. (I braid diffrently before sewing in)

Each person will be able to use a different method, I personally like the weave method. I wore glue previously but the weight of each strand of hair started to damage my natural hair. Since the weight in a weft is spread across your head the weight distrabution is even and tends to pull less on the scalp. And as for bald spots, Kalika is right, if done properly there should not be any large amounts of hair loss.

I have mostly a sewn in weft right now. But not the traditional
braided track. it will be exitingm y life in the next week or
so. I haven't felt any pulling...
