Two problems-

my friend and I are having this costume party, and I'd like to go as Christina Aguilera. I want to do hair like hers at the MTV 2001 Music Video Awards ((the scary dreads)) but a shorter version. My hair goes past my shoulders, and I've tried doing it before, but I HAVE NO CLUE HOW!!! HELP!!! here's some pictures to show you what I mean:

((it's scary, I know, but remember-it's a costume party))

There's a few Christina Styles I'd like to try for normal. My hair is naturally straight and kinda thick. And i leave it the same all the time-straight and hanging down my back. I want to try something new. Like this:

I would LOVE to have my hair in the famous "shorty curl bob"...the twenties flaaper look of hers:

but again, both of these, I'm not sure how she does it. I'm pretty inexperienced with my hair-all i ever do is french/dutch braid it....that's about it....so...can anyone help??? offer suggestions??? much thanks!!!

You ought to check out costume wigs or extensions. Real dreads are a commitment, not something you do to your hair for a party, then take out again the next day.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
