yeah I agree with quen, you can do a corrective relaxer but I'd play it safe and wait until your next regular relaxer application . . . how ever long that usually is for you

In the meantime, you will need to keep your underprocessed hair VERY moisturized and stick to low manipulation styles (braidouts and twistouts etc.) until you can correct the two textures.  Too much combing and manipulation will cause breakage for you at the demarcation line.  I'd also follow up this relaxer with a mild/heavy protein treatment and a good deep conditioning immediately afterwards.  Most importantly, Keep your hair MOISTURIZED!!!!

You would need to get a corrective relaxer

hi guys...

like i said i'm new here and at the moment i'm desperate! my hair was relaxed tonight for the first time in 8 mons. don't ask me why i waited 8mons. it's not like i was transitioning or anything so noble lol i was just scurred! scared of getting another chemical burn. anyway... i finally get up enough courage to get my hair done and the person who is doing it is very gentle and knowledgable but she makes the mistake in assuming that the relaxer is "super' and takes it out way too soon. i'm sooo pissed  that i can't even think straight. my hair doesn't even look as if a relaxer has touched it at all and with 8 mons. of new growth in tow, you girls know thats not looking good at all. now i'm scared stiff that due to underprocessing all of my hair is gonna fall out. can anyone advise me as to how long i have to wiat til i try another relaxer; and what i should do in the meantime to prevent extreme breakage?

thanx sooo much in advance

HELP!!!
