QuoteReplyTopic: Wawa auburn??? Posted: April 12 2005 at 10:49am
Has anyone tried the:
#33 dark auburn
1b 33 Mix
or the no number given 14" brown auburn blend.
or better yet all of them?
I think probably if I got the #33 I'd need to blend it 1 part 33 with 2
parts brown (either 4 or 2) because my hair isn't THAT red since its so
frickin' dark.
Not like wawa costs piles but if anyone has feedback on what colors
these look like in person compared with any other brands 33 or a PH
color that would help me narrow down what to order...

actually I should go check if you are trading any of that int he other post...
that 33 which presumably has very differnt lighting than the lighting
on vixenwigs store looks about like some 33 I got previously.
Maybe a touch darker but the lighting and....
Are you one of the ones who has tried the cruly wawa yet? I'm
trying to decide what to order especially with the AD group order
falling through for now.
Maybe if I blend like 60% #4, 25% #2, and 15% #33 that would make a good highlight color on me.
My hair is so dark that it really won't take much red to match and
oddly enough except for the rainbow colors I use i don't want my color
to look fake.

Rose - the 33 is almost a perfect match for my hair before the color starts to fade - do you know if PH has a color that is almost exactly like that? TIA!

I'd say Kastanie's probably your closest match to the 33 pictured
above. In that same general range, there's Kitche, which is a more
copper color; Mocca, a warm reddish brown; and Haselnuss, a darkish
auburn.
Anyway, I have some photos of PH reds here, if it helps (keep in mind that some of these have flash and others don't):
Here are some other reds, too:

I was about to order some hair from Vixenwigs and I decided to do a search here first and came accross this post. Now, what is stated is that these two colors are a #30 and #33, however when you go to save the pics, the description says 2730a, so what gives??
edit: after relooking at Vixenwigs and these pics, I am thinking that bottom dark color matches her offblack/Plum color. Does anyone else agree or is it just resolution differences?
I currently wear the wawa straight in 1B/30 and I love it. I have had it for a month now. I saw the "brown auburn" in the BSS, and in my opinion, it was extremely dark. To me- it looked like their #4 (which is practically a 1B) with just a few flecks of 33. The Brown Auburn is a million times darker. See if you can find a sample before you order it.

The 27 is quite bit more yellow, not really blond but yellow. It seems like the 27 would only look nice if it were blended w/another color such as 4 or 613.

Mocha, I have PH hair (Bulk/wefts) that you might like. I had ordered the browns, but they all look red, I forget the color names. I'll look it up on the PH site, and let you know. You can have them if you want.
